I haven't seen a thread about this, not from what I recall at least. So here's one asking a simple question, one which I answered in detail recently: What do you think are some of the greatest single seasons of motorsport ever? Actually, if you'd like, how about a consecutive set of seasons which you think were all great for one reason or another? Standout and/or marquee individual races (i.e. Le Mans, Nurburgring, Daytona, Pikes Peak) are fair game here as well.

As mentioned, here is the list of my personal favourites:

Absolutely agree with these two. Could never get bored watching the races from those years. 1992 is also a fantastic year if you sit and watch the season review.

The Formula One seasons I found exciting as I remember them at the time would be 1997, 1999 and 2003. I was also captivated by 2009, 2010 and 2012. For seasons since I've been a fan it is only in retrospect that I have come to appreciate 2006, 2007 and 2008.
 
Thinking about it, I tend to judge seasons by their finale's... so for that reason I'd say F1 2008, DTM 2012 and BTCC 2019 are some that spring to mind. I think the Rolex 24 in 2007 was pretty intense from what I remember.

Would NASCAR Cup 1992 Season qualify? I'm discounting any of the "playoff" seasons.

I'd put 1992 down as my favourite NASCAR year as well, from what I've seen of it.

- 1999 BTCC
- 2001 Speedvision World Challenge(GT & TC)
- 2014 V8 Supercars Championship
