This is a "best" thread involving multi-discipline drivers and teams. This relates to teams that take part in a variety of series across multiple disciplines, or drivers who excel in various disciplines of racing. This can relate to teams and drivers with us today, as well as those that went defunct or retired/died. What are some of the best multi-discipline drivers and teams today or in the past?

Here is a general view of disciplines in racing to help you make the choice of what multi-discipline means:
* sportscar racing
* oval racing (all types ranging from asphalt to dirt, sprint cars to stock cars)
* rally racing
* single-seater/formula racing
* touring car racing
* drag racing
* motorcycle road racing
* motocross, supercross, and supermoto
* motorcycle drag racing
* boat drag racing
* powerboat racing
* air racing
* land speed racing
...and the like.

So who are some of the best teams and drivers that race in more than one discipline of racing?

I am a huge fan of Prodrive. They've competed in a variety of motorsports and have done pretty well in all of them. Their website is: < http://www.prodrive.com >. Something I didn't know about Prodrive is that they race in the Australian V8 Supercar Series alongside rally and sportscar racing. Prodrive is really a model for wanting to compete and win in various disciplines of motorsport.

I know that Ken Wharton was considered as having skill in all types of motorsport activities, such as F1, saloon car racing, endurance racing, and more. Of course, he is from the 1950s and is long dead, after a racing accident took his life. Before Stirling Moss, he was the best Commonwealth driver of his time, outrunning Reg Parnell on various occasions.

For modern drivers, Clay Regazzoni seems to be one of the better multi-discipline drivers, successfully turning his hand to new forms of motorsport (notably in Le Mans and the Dakar rally) during and after his F1 career was ended prematurely.
