My apologies, I didn't recall that you had posted having done it in an MR2.

With the influx of new members in recent months, we've garnerd more than a fair share of people with the "1000mph Escudo" mentality.

I do apologize for jumping up and including you in that contingent.

Twas early morning and I should have tempered my toungue a bit.

Are you being sarcastic? Cuz I like having a challenge. I'll restart the PD cup and wait for the Z to show up if you think it will be harder.

No, the Z concept is pretty much the lead AI car in PD Cup races. It usually finishes around 45s ahead of the Mustang on the Trial Mountain race.

Having auditioned a lot of cars and tire combinations for it, including a lot of cars the AI runs, I can guarantee you that the AI are using racing tires, and in the ccase of the obligatory multi-pitter, pretty soft ones at that.

Well the way I look at, if the AI can't take advantage of the rules that's their fault and shows their lack of intelligence. It's just like any series of racing, you get away with what you can get away with.

AHHHHHHHH . . . make em stop, make em stop. Gosh, I tried the stupid wheelie trick yesterday for the first time, and I have to say that it is the absolutely most stupid thing I have ever seen in my life. :banghead: :banghead: :banghead: :banghead: What is the joy in this stupid event?

It's no fun to just completely blow away the competition in every race, but I think it's really cool to have all the licenses, arcade mode, the free cars and the F094/S on day 50 without spending any money. It's just a goofy little challenge I made for myself. So, you have to do the PD Cup on day 50 with a free car on normal tires without an oil change.

I don't have a problem with the save/load trick, but you have to re-run Tokyo 246 II (the longest race in the series) every time to keep from losing a day.

You can win the PD cup with the Viper Concept on normal tires. The Vanquish has 449hp without an oil change, but it's just so heavy. It slides around as bad as the Viper, eats up the tires, and is slower, so that would be very difficult to sweep the PD Cup. The RX-8 is pretty easy on the tires, and it's really light, so it might be easier.

Did it with the Nismo 400R on Super Hard tyres, bit of a handful when cold, but once things start to warm up I pretty much walked most of the races.

Is it me or is the AI ridiculously slow on SSR5 II of the PD cup. I was able to pass all the cars before the end of the 2nd lap with my RSi. For those interested, I won the first 3 races, and now I am destroying this 4th race with the RSi. So by now its easy to say that this car will get you thru the PD cup without too many problems, and with somewhat of a challenge depending on which tires you use, and driving skill.

OK, the AI on Seattle kicked my ass big time. I couldnt keep up even when I did my fastest lap. Finished 4th. But the race after at Apricot Hill II I had no problems and kicked the AI's ass once again. So out of 6 races, I have 5 wins, and a 4th.
