Best place to watch a GT3 Race....

In the midst of my endurance races I started looking for the best place I would like to watch a race...if I was a spectator. (I know, not important to GT3 racing but sometimes you have to fight the boredom during endurance battles if it is not close.)

I have my PS2 running through my computer so here is the first screen shot of where I would like to be.

On that boat out in the water in Monaco. Of course with a drink in my hand watching the F-1 get up to 180 mph's coming down the hill then getting all over the brakes during the chicane.

lest we forget, one needs an unreasonably sexy woman (or 2) by one's side to make such an event perfect.

That screen shot is showing parts of the game i have never seen before, the american version must be slightly better than the euro version...... NAH what am i kiddin PAL made the euro version perfect, sorry, yes i would agree that in that position of viewing would be the best to watch a race from.

wouldn't want to obstruct the view..of the race.
but then, there are those times when all the cars are on the other side of the track, leaving nothing to do....

I am thinking up high for this race then you could watch the F-1's accelerate down the straight

You wouldn't be allowed to spectate from that bridge, as it is the track crossover point!!
 
I would sit next to the monkey at Trial Mountain.

Sorry, couldn't resist.
 
At the first corner in Grand Valley.
 
I'd be spectating from the passenger seat of the non-AI powered car. :D
 
at seca i think the 1st corner would be good, especially at the start with the mad rush! and to see the cars screaming down the hill towards you would be great too :)

also the last corner would see a few come off into the kitty litter :D (and if you have a cheap camera the slow speeds there wouldnt be bad for pictures)
 
what no rally fans? id sit in one of those crazy turns on tahiti maze and sence i am a photographer (amature of course) id run in the middle of the course to get a good shot of a escudo drifting past me at neer 100mph.
 
The flat left hander onto the main straight at Deep Forest (in the grandstand aligning with the turn-in point and the apex).

Heh heh! You've never described that corner as flat before, so you're obviously wanting to watch there so that you can see some almight shunts! :)

Do you have a tv card, or what do you use? And is it expensive??

Yes! Look at the big tree branch that extends out acorss the track.
 
CloneHead...my Video Card has A/V inputs and I just run the PS2 to those inputs on the back of the computer.

I use the Radeon All-in-wonder card and I think it is like $80. Definitely makes for decent screen shots
 
there is a huge line-up of ATI All in Wonder cards, so be sure you know what your looking at. If your into gaming on the PC and need a decent 3D card, the price will be much higher then $80.

I was just wondering if it is possible to get a seperate card that can handle input. Because I've got a GeForce 3 card, and it sure can handle all the games I play. :)

Yup. Check out ATI and Matrox, they should have some cards that fit the bill :)
