I'm wanting to buy a headset. The only reason I'm looking at one is because I like to listen to music while I play and I don't want it going over my mic annoying people. Ive fought off getting one for a long time because I have a decent surround sound I play with but I can't really use it while I play online with people.
Here is what I'm looking for in the headset in order of priority.
1. Sound as good as possible with music.
2. All in one. I don't want a separate headset and mic. I know I could buy some nice audio headphones and a separate mic but I want it simple.
3. Wireless.
4. Surround sound quality.
5. Price isn't an issue. Bang for the buck isn't part of my deciding factor. I just want the best set I can get.
I've been researching sony gold and astro a50 but I've only seen one review mention music and it leaned toward the sony ones but said the Astros were a good bit better at gaming.
I'm also wondering how it works using an optical for some headsets. I want to be able to still use my HDMI for sound while not using the headset. Does ps4 output sound over hdmi and optical at the same time? do I have to switch back and forth in ps4 settings if I want to switch between avr and headphones?
