Alright, I started this forum in the write-up area 
(wrong place!!). Thanks to Der Alta for pointing out the obvious, I'm here to start the GT4 Best-Sounding Engine thread.
The engine sounds in GT4 are so advanced, some of the cars sound like machinical demons.
My favorite would have to be the Ford V8. The modern Ford GT's have this roaring sort of growl that set them apart in my eyes. I'm sorry, but I don't have a vocabulary capable of expressing how awesome the rumbling engines from the Cobra's (AC or Shelby) and the '69 GT40 are. A lot of the GM and Chrysler muscle cars sound similar. If anyone can describe it, please do so, because I can't.
But the engine that kills me is the fully-modded 2005 Mustang. The idle sounds like a true hotrod. The idle is this pulsating, throbbing purr that resmbles a Shelby Cobra, but it's so much more viscious. It's a welcome change from the high-pitched whine of tuner cars and european exotics.
If you have the money, please buy a 'stang and mod it for yourself, and tell me what you think.
I'll try and get a decent recording of it and post it on the net. Anyone know a good place for hosting mp3 an wav files?
Maybe once there's a decent-sized list, we can make a poll of sorts.
