So, I was thinking of what the worlds best system would be. I had some ideas like internet ready, tons of power, mp3 player on it. How about yall?

I would have to say right now, it is a tie between XBOX, Gamecube, PS2.

Pros and Cons of PS2
Pros

  • More Games
  • DVD Player (Comes with)
  • Controllers are comfortable
Cons
  • Slower Loading Time
  • Big System

Pros and Cons of XBOX
Pros

  • Fast Loading Time
  • DVD Player (Comes with)
  • Have some good games
  • No Memory Card Needed
Cons
  • Big Controllers
  • Big System

Pros and Cons of Gamecube
Pros

  • Small System
  • Small CDs
  • Controllers are comfortable
  • Good games like Nintendo's originals.
Cons
  • Games are a little babyish
  • No DVD player included

If you look at that list they are about even.

Best system would have been Indramida (or whatever it was) if it ever were released....

I'm going to have to go with the computer on this one. Even Macintosh has a large selection of games these days. Someone just needs to write a 'console gaming' menu subsystem for the computer. Make it easy for the people that fear the installation processes. Just pop in your new game CD and the gaming software sets it up and checks for updates on the Internet. I guess Sierra and Blizzard have this for their own systems, but the OS vendors should come up with some way of making this whole process much easier. Seems like a job for Apple ...

PC for online gaming, and FPS games, PS2 for every other game under the sun.

I can understand that. Games that feel better with a DualShock just need to be on the PS2. Examples would be Tomb Raider and GT3. A friend of mine races an old Nascar game with a joystick though ... interesting concept. I'd like to get a USB dualshock clone for my computer so I can play Tomb Raider and stuch on a high end system. It just looks so much better on my computer at 1600 x 1200.
