hey guys, i m looking for a tactile tablet.
i dont know much about tablet
i have basic use only, watching videos, listening musics, viewing PDF and num books, not that much for gaming or using internet

- in small format, 5'' at least (otherwise i could pick smartphone aswell) and not above 7''

- connecting tablet into my computer through usb or any micro-usb - usb adapter

- connecting table into my screen monitor through vga port or any micro usb - vga adapter

ipad mini? galaxy note? nexus 7? playbook?

Check this one out. http://www.newegg.com/Product/Product.aspx?Item=0N6-002R-00001&name=Tablets

I've got one and it does everything I want it to do. It's rooted out of the box, comes with ICS 4.0, and expandable memory up to 32GB (though do bare in mind the interface for the MicroSD can only handle Class 4 speeds for MicroSD. It comes equipped with an AllWinner A10 coupled with a Mali400 GPU. The clock speed is about 1GHz on it and the battery life without wifi, watching videos on it is about 6 hours or so with relatively decent brightness. It comes with a capacitive 800x480px touch screen which is honestly quite nice.

I'm running out of things to say about it though. I've had mine for about a month now and it's honestly really really good. I haven't been able to find a single thing wrong with it. I'm not sure on the VGA adapter though. It does have MiniHDMI output though..

I have a Galaxy Note II which is absolutely stunning. Screen is ultra clear for reading and video watching. It will do everything you asked and more.

However, it's on the high end of the price scale (including the original Note), so there are probably much cheaper alternatives just as good for what you want to use it for.

I would suggest the Nexus 7 otherwise. Quad core processor, 1280x800 display and is around the £200 mark.

I'd be sure to read the reviews on that tablet very carefully, it appears to have some pretty serious flaws; especially the lack of bluetooth support. The price sure is nice, though, but it's true that you get what you pay for.

Probably the best price/performance tablet out there right now is Google/Asus's Nexus 7 but note that it does not have any sort of video connector.

I have a Galaxy Player 5.0 which does all you want except for the video out connector. Overall I've been very happy with the device, but I should mention that it does not use the latest version of Android, and that it appears to be no longer available.

Having not looked extensively at tablets, I think this is going to be your most difficult request. A fair number of devices have video outputs however they're almost assuredly going to be HDMI, not VGA.

Also, having a 4.whatever inch screen on my RAZR, I don't think you'll be all that happy with a 5" tablet. I'd strongly recommend you focus more on the 7"+ range. Have you seen a Nexus 7 in person? Why the cutoff at 7"?

Wait until the 23rd to see what Apple's iPad Mini is like, otherwise the Nexus 7 looks like a pretty attractive option.

Also, chances are the prices for the other tablets will go down when the ipad mini is released.

3 days later and they will go down once more with MS surface tablets going on sale.

you r all right, i should expect ipad mini announce before buying any 7'' tablet
by the way, connecting it through vga port isnt necessary though
actually i love playbook design, i never touch a blackberry stuff in my whole life, would be already mine if it was fully compatible with android
nexus 7, unable to connect a micro SD card, might be a trouble if capacity of storage space was full

I'm looking @ the Nexus7 for my first tablet. For the price, you just can't beat what it can do. May save & get then 10" though.. as far as it getting full - there are two solutions; the cloud & your PC. It's not like you're forced to delete anything entirely. Just makes you delete the crap you dont use. lol

I am not spending that much for an iAnything.. lol And i'm more comfortable with Android, which is why I'm looking @ Nexus.

My daughter has a toshiba thrive and it is a great tablet for the money.
Hdmi out, bluetooth, sd port. A little bigger than you are looking for at 10" tho.

One thing i missed, do you want it on a network or just wifi usage?

I got mine for 75$ on a Newegg sale. In terms of price/performance, it beats everything in that price bracket. I've yet to see any flaws with mine either(No I don't consider a lack of BT support a flaw, that's just one more chip on the board that'll eat power). I did all of my research on it and there's absolutely nothing wrong with mine as far as I'm aware.

The mini ipad will be overpriced as it is going to be a new apple product and it will be like be cute and cool with this new miniture ipad.
