The best, or perhaps the most significant US made convertible ever was the 1957 Ford Fairlane Skyliner.
It was the first US car with a hard-top that folded into the trunk.
So, with the top up...no wind noise. Also, enhanced vehicle security, and perhaps roll-over protection with the top up.

AS for the best looking US made drop-top... It's a toss up between the '57 Corvette, the '56 T-Bird, and the '65 Mustang.
Honorable mention to the 1967 Chevelle/GTO, The 1961-63 T-bird Sports roadster, and the 1955 Chevy.

It is so awesome that Boss Hog had to drive on in the Dukes of Hazzard TV show. Yeeeeeeeeee hawwwwwwwww!

My friend drives one of those. Same year, same color, and is in mint condition. Not a bad summer car for a 21 year old. Sadly, his brothers summer car is a '69 Firebird Convertible, white with blue stripes. Must be nice to have a dad that owns a wrecking/salvage yard. :indiff:

When he lost one of the hub caps for the '76, it cost him $650 US to replace it. :scared:

Maybe, but certainly not for $70,000.

And um, you do know Maybachs are owned and sold through Mercedes-Benz dealers, right?

Yeah I know.

But how would people feel if the car you're buying for over $250k looks same as a car costing $90k....I wouldn't feel good.
