Best Video Settings

Hi all,
according my opinion the best video setting is "flicker reduction" (does it just enable the v-synch?).
It worsen the frame rate in the cockpit view, but reducing the screen size (I have a big tv screen) it seems that the frame rate is increased.
What about you?
What do you think about the "sharpen" setting? I don't see tearing enabling it and further the frame rate is quite acceptable (but I don't see any difference in video quality...).

Yes, i found that when display size decrease to 85 the frame rate smooth than full screen. About the flicker reduction i can't see any different, the shadows and fence still flicker like hell.
