Well this is my first post here, so hi everyone! Secondly this is the first Gran Turismo game I have actually been bothered to put the hours in on. So far I have my A Spec up to 28 and my B Spec up to 25. I am currently leaving my BOB overnight to do the first endurance race.

Now this is my real bone of contention. The endurance races currently have no save option...Now while that is ok for the BOB race overnight, I don't have the time to put in for the A Spec, and don't like leaving on my PS3 24/7!

So is there a good way, without cheating to get the points so I can get the Vettel challenge open? I am so close, and just wanna reach it quickly!

Just a little bump with Mr Duke's permission, took a while to get moderated being my first post and was on page 3 by the time it appeared lol.

Yeah but he's asking about A-Spec........which I am in the same boat!!!! Lvl 27......and CREEPING.

Come'on seasonal 7 events......LOL

Well you can unlock the X2010 challenge by being level 30 B Spec too, but if you absolutely have to grind in A, I do the Dream Car Championship. I dont think its the highest for XP but it is a good balance of XP and credits.

A-spec grind ftw

Ok I guess that is a good idea, how many credits and XP do I get for that one again?

While I may over power my car in some races to have an easy win, I don't like cheating.

B Spec the enduros a few times overnight, I went from level 27.5-30 in 3 days doing that.

Yeah I did this for BSpec,at Lvl27 now.

Which is quicker out of interest to get the X1? Don't wanna trade for it I want to win it on my own accord. Would it be better to grind up to Lvl35 Bspec or open up the Vettel Challenge by griding to Lvl 30 in A Spec?

I was going to say do the Seasonal events.. but they cut the credit and XP payouts to almost zero today.

So... I'll recommend doing the short endurance races. They are a lot of fun and, while they don't earn you a lot of credits, they're really good in terms of XP.

Grand Valley 300 (my favorite endurance race) is roughly 2-2.5 hours depending on the car you pick. Same for Laguna Seca and the Indy 500.

I thought the 4 hour roadster endurance was not too bad, but 4hours was on the limit of time I would like to spend on one race.

Indy 500 is great in terms of XP. Get a quick LeMans car and set it up properly and you have a guaranteed win and a desirable prize car to boot (not going to spoil what it is).

At level 28, the Laguna Seca endurance event is the best if you just want to get to level 30 quickly, it will get you there as fast as possible, particularly if you have an FGT. And when you unlock it in b spec, your Bobs will absolutely walk it in anything even vaguely decent. In A spec, you're probably best just grinding the level 24 Indianapolis event. The xp payback per hour is pretty close to the endurance events, but the financial rewards are ear higher.

Rubberband FTW. Swallow your pride and start auto-grinding. The rubberband trick only gets rid of the arbitrary xp requirements, it doesn't gold all the events and auto-win the game.

BTW you don't need an X1/X2010 to do it. I'm doing it right now with a Veyron in the Dream Car Championship Indy race.

Just play more online.

Fine some nice lobbies with people who actually want to race (karts is a good idea) and magically your xp goes up (slowly)

I went from 25 > 30 purely on online play.

Ok well I will look in to it then!

I did not know you earned XP online! How long it take you to jump 5 levels?

the whole championship or just one particular track in the group?? i just did this last night in A-spec and it really took a long time to do all the races.

Agreed for the credits, but the XP payout isn't bad at all if you consider the possibility of repeating some of the Seasonal Ferrari events to farm XP.

35900 XP for ~15 minutes (Nürburgring GP) is quite good, only 24h endurance races have better XP payout timewise.

Online XP gained is horrible. Don't plan to do anything quickly online. Enduro's are the best XP. What you really need to do is get your B-Spec to lvl30. After that you can run the Vettel Challenges in A-spec and easily level up to 35 by golds, or even bronze will take you over 30 for sure. Bronze is still around 500,000XP for each of those challenges.

Also I will have to agree, get over the pride thing, its not "cheating" it is taking advantage of what the game will LET you do, and trust me once you get to around a 32-33 it gets a lot easier to say hell with it and just let it run since you need millions of XP to advance. I have been grinding on a 36 for a few weeks now to get to 37 and it just takes forever. Getting my b-spec to 40 also requires insane amounts of times. Just for reference my ps3 has NOT been shut off one single time since 12/24/2010! Its grinds and grinds and grinds then I play then it grinds some more.

Hang, you said I can unlock the Vettel Challenge by getting BSpec to lvl 30? I thought it had to be ASpec to unlock it?

;)

Then once you get b to 35 you get a nice free X2010 also. Which spec does not matter, even in New Car Dealer, you can buy any car based on XP from either A or B spec.

Can you provide some more details? I tried today with my Veyron and it was getting slowed down far too much on the walls in the turns, was trailing by about 8 seconds after two laps...

What's the transmission set at, and what driving aids do you have set? Alternately, what's a good car (I'm level 26) to just mangle the auto-grind? (Bonus points if the car can also be used for the new Formula Ferrari seasonal event??)

you can't win with the veyron, but you can still collect like 80% of the xp if he finished in 6-7th place, which he usually does for me. free points are free points.
