Best & Worst Cockpit View ?

The worst is no doubt the Mercedes Sauber C9. If it weren't for the engine noises it was making, I'd assume my TV was broken. Just two moving arches going across my screen. Boo. But it's a standard, so I guess that's alright. :p

You bet me too it. Worst freaking view ever. I use a 22" monitor so i officially see nothing... lol.

and then the worst would be the RM Impreza

The Impreza '05 is another genuinely terrible one. The cockpit view there has an awkward angle, and it looks super weird when you change to the hood view afterwards.

just bought the Racing Jaguar XJ220 horrible horrible view, the wheel is right in line with your vision. almost impossible to see the road in front of you. good fun to rag it around the kart track though. lol

Citroen C4 WRC '08 has the worst cockpit position I think... most of the front windscreen is blocked by black "tape" lol... I know it's there to block the sun light coming into the car - but I cannot see anything out of the car... 👎

(I use the standard view, which I think is the most realistic)... 👍

The best view for me is McLaren F1. I don't like that car but I have to admit the visibility is fantastic, I suppose because you sit in the middle of the car 💡...

The best race car is probably the Pagani Zonda R... good visibility out of the car and nice carbon interior... Shame we cannot see the rev counter in the middle of the steering wheel :guilty:

1: mclaren f1 is the absolute best! the center seat is awesome, huge view, 2 interior mirrors that dont block anything, the gauges are white and turn neon green at night, steering weel in right place.... overall PERFECTION!!!!

2: alfa romeo TZ2.... simple interior, the shifting motion is funny, the back window wraps around in an interesting way, and that steering wheel.....

3: pagani zonda r.... stunning interior style, nice gauges, looks good!

4: tvr tuscan speed 6 RM.... looks great inside... british seating

5: corvette zr1.... simplicity is nice... and so is the windshield speedometer

WORST::banghead:
1: citroen gt race car.... too complicated... cant see 🤬!!

2: suburu impreza RM.... cant see 🤬

I´m aware that this thread is to judge the sitting possition that PD placed in cockpit views, not how cool or terrible the car looks on the inside.

The best Premiums, I would say cars like the E92 M3, Nissan GTR, Gallardo, XJ13, Shelby Cobra and pretty much every car that gives you an overall good view of the road, as well as the steering wheel and dashboard details. The best would be the McLaren F1, simply because the seating possition gives you the best view than any other road car.

The worst Premium interiors, the LFA, Murcielago Golf GTi and others in which you seem to be "kissing" the steering wheel, plus they give you a very limited visibility. The Citroen GT has a good possition, but unfortunately, the speedometer was placed in the worst area.

As for Standards, there is no debate here... The Prowler (not only because it even has working gauges), but the open top gives you great visibility. The Super Seven has the best visibility in general, as well as the Tank Car.

Worst standards: the Bently with no doubt, and pretty much all of the "blacked out" ones, not because the lack of detail, but visual references. At least in GTPSP you had a clearer view of the car itself, and were able to judge the corners better, due to the fact that the car was visible.

Best is Spyker C8, worst is McLaren F1, don't like that car at all.

It´s a shame that the Spyker is not Premium. That thing has the most exotic interior I´ve ever seen.

And are you sure you don´t like the F1? How come? It has the wierdest sitting possition, but it works better than enything else.

I love the Formula GT cockpit.

Yeah, that cockpit is great. That steering wheel is incredible.

X2010 as my favorite. I liked the LFA and the color changing tach, too.

Worse... any of the black dash covered ones. I miss seeing the spoon EK9 gauge cluster from GT3/GT4.

What makes the position weird is what makes it so good

Shelby Cobra has an awesome view and so does the Prowler and Caterham Fireblade. Still need to try out the Tank Car that's going to be a riot

The worse cockpit is the 63' Corvette Stingray. The dual rear windows give it NO rear visibility. It's so bad Chevrolet actually stopped producing models with the split rear windows.

The dual rear windows give it NO rear visibility.

Try out a Lamborghini Miura then and lol at the absolute awesomeness of the rear visibility that has

The High End Performance G37 has a good rear view. It has a TV and a PS3 in it and everything

vauxhall astra touring car has a terrible view too, it has just a little slit to look through. although it is quite realistic if you look at the real touring cars on you tube. the view is pretty slim

The RM Impreza has a very strange cockpit view, it feels like the seat's mounted about a foot higher than it should be. The 787B has a nice one, so does the RM ISF.

Best: Honda NSX-R premium , such a nice cockpit to drive with.

Worst: Both Lamboghini Murcielago's , nothing like real life. This view is far to close and is not even close to the real driving position.

Best: Chrysler Prowler. It looks just like a premium.
Worst: GT By Citroen Race Car, the 🤬 dashboard is on the 🤬 windscreen, which i'm sure is a health and safety issue, and McLaren F1. Well, the rear view. NOW we know why Chevrolet stopped doing that on the C2

tank car is fun fun fun in cockpit view. I'm not a massive fan of the RUF's in cockpit view. I think you really miss the hood/bonnet on the RUF's
This sort of bugged me with the Jag E-type too - that lovely long bonnet is nowhere to be seen from the driver's seat, so that makes it the worst standard for me so far. Okay, it doesn't ruin the experience, but it does feel like I'm driving an old Mini with a really souped-up engine/exhaust system instead.

Best standard? Well I love the Caterham for the exhilaration - excellent job PD. Truly though, I'm happier than a Pig in the woods now that the standards all have a driver's view to choose.

The Fairlady Z (280Z is what I think it is). The inside of the door seems too low relative to the window, so it almost looks like there's a huge gap to the right of you, which is very disorienting.
