So, i randomly bought an Xbox 360 like two hours ago (a third because i'm annoyed at GT5's release date, third because i can't think of any new PS3 games to buy right now, and a third because i guess i've just been thinking about buying one for a while)...

Anyway, can anyone suggest some good 360 exclusive games i should try, either retail games or XBL ones (aside from Halo 3, Forza 3, Gears of War 2, Rez HD and Alan Wake (timed exclusive at least), which are already on my to buy list ^.^)?

Definitely get Mass Effect. :)

GTA 4 Lost and Damned is fun too, and The Ballad of Gay tony is coming out. You could buy used gta4 and liberty city episodes addon.

On XLA Trials HD is fun, but you might get frustrated with some levels. It is pretty hard game.

Import Tuner Challenge - if you liked Tokyo Xtreme Racer you might enjoy this one. Should be pretty cheap.

GTA4 : Lost and damned and ballad of gay tony DLC

PGR4 - great game

Gears of war, and forza are pretty much it for me.

Maybe mass effect of you like role playing games, with horrible shooting mechanics.

Really though all online shooters are much better on the 360. Except for the best shooter of all, socom.

I do recommend Forza Motorsport 2 and Project Gotham Racing 3. Both are great Xbox 360 racing game exclusives.

I do recommend Forza Motorsport 2 and Project Gotham Racing 3.

PGR 3 doesn't support FF properly, at least with MS racing wheel. And PGR 4 is the best game in series.

Buying Forza 2 when Forza 3 is almost here doesn't make too much sense either in my opinion

Crackdown is one of my favorite games as well, it's infinitely better than completely scripted GTA4 with dead city where you have nothing to do at all.

Just a few of the top of my head that are worth doing...

* Puzzle Quest
* Oblivion (GOTY Edition)
* Project Gotham Racing 4 (perhaps one of the best racing games of ALL time)
* Marvel Ultimate Alliance
* Star Wars: The Force Unleashed (I think the new content is 360-exclusive?)
* Crackdown
* Viva Pinata (I liked it...)

I'll pick up PGR4 and Crackdown, and i'll probably try out Saints Row, but i already have games like GTA4, Oblivion and Mass Effect for PS3 or PC.

Thanks for the huge list CamaroBoy, even if i have played most before :)

Any good XBLA games you guys could suggest?

XBLA :

- GTA4 DLC : both ( sort of XBLA ;) )
- Peggle
- Braid
- N+
- BF1943
- Trials HD

etc

I played Conker Live & Reloaded, NGB and Black on X360 and they are better than most of X360 games. They run in 720p which is a big plus

If you haven't played NG Sigma I would recommend NGB instead. Sigma was downgraded a lot, for example almost all puzzles from original were cut off.

Here are some arcade games that are co-op. Most are pretty fun so you should at least check out the demos if you are interrested. Co-op games are the most fun to me thats why I listed them.

Arcade co-op games
1. Assult Heros 1 and 2
2. Contra
3. Gauntlet (4 player co-op)
4. Joust
5. Doom (4 player co-op???)
6. Robotron: 2048
7. Smash TV
8. Cloning Clyde
9. Root Beer Tapper
10. Heavy Weapon (4 player co-op)
11. Paperboy
12. Frogger
13. TMNT 1989 (4 player co-op)
14. Aegis wing (4 player co-op)
15. Golden Axe (4 player co-op)
16. Hexic 2
17. Streets Of Rage 2
18. Arkadian Warriors
19. Undertow
20. Double Dragon
21. Elements of Destruction
22. Commando
23. Pinball
24. N+
25. Castle Crashers (4 player co-op)
26. A Kingdom For Keflings (4-player co-op)
27. Puzzle Arcade (4-player co-op)

Fable 2,
though the additional DLC offers good value for money only for the die hard fans.

It's fun and entertaining, hardcore RPG-players will be a bit disappointed because it lacks depth and challenge and overall playtime.

Nevertheless a good story well told, only some minor gameplay issues, and overall easily one of my favourite XBOX exclusive games.

edit:

Banjo Kazooie would be my XBLA pick - one is never too old (or grumpy) for a decent jump-and-run and this game simply makes me feel - happy?

If you don't want to blow a heap of money building a game library for your new 360, I recommend:

Gears of War 1
You can get it cheap in Platinum hits or used form. Has a decent campaign, still looks pretty nice, and has a 2 player coop mode. If you like it, Gears 2 is getting cheaper these days too.

Crackdown
Should be easy to find used or cheap because of the Halo beta, but it's worth playing in it's own right. Good clean superhero-style fun.

Geo Wars 2
Arcade title, 800 points, great value. Fantastic little game, with up to 4 players in 6 different modes, scored cooperatively or competitively. Great fun on a big screen with 3 mates.

There are other games such as Braid and Mass Effect that are also awesome, but you may be able to get them on PC instead (don't know whether you have a gaming PC or not). Either way, the Xbox marketplace is your friend. There are demos for just about everything, and they're a pretty good representation of the game. If you have any specific questions about a particular game I'm sure people will tell you what it's like.

I also find that the Arcade games are often great value. Except for some LAN Gears play etc, generally the arcade games are what gets played at parties etc. You can all sit down, play the demo, and then unlock the game if you like it and keep playing into the night. It's great!

what I dont get is why I cant bring myself to really like PGR 4 over 3....I think its cause they made the cars harder to drift....Or maybe I just cant do it that well in 4...I dunno maybe I just need to play it more. Oh and on topic Ninja Gaiden 2!! And yes I say that NGSigma2 is different enough to say thats exclusive on PS3 and not just a port.

There could be a simple reason why you don't like it over 3...

For one PGR4 tries too hard to focus on too many things at once in such a narrow space, I mean, motorcycles racing against cars? No.

It actually has less content than 3 (I have no 🤬 clue how they pulled that one off) and the experience that 3 offers just isn't there in 4. It feels too generic and too complacent to actually try as hard as PGR3 did and succeeded in doing so. I would dare say had it not been for the immense attention to detail PGR3 paid to the interior views, it wouldn't be nearly as sought after as it is now...and most of the interiors are still modeled better than most of the games I've seen. I think it was rushed for some reason, but, like PGR4 for what it is, which is a great game with marginally better audio effects and other such things...but if you're looking to like one over the other I would say it's a no-contest - PGR3 hands down. 👍

I also liked 3 more than 4. The user interface was also better in 3. But I have to admit they did a great job with the rain and weather effects in PGR4.

Definitely.

I wished they had kept the track editor in 4, it would have made it so much better.

I never used the track editor much. Did it end up ever becoming popular?

I would think so. Once players found out PGR4 lacked that (along with other PGR essentials, namely Gotham TV) there were complaints about it. The whole motorcycle thing wasn't too accepted either from what I've seen.

PGR 4 is much better than PGR 3. It has sufficiently improved physics, weather effects which affect driving a lot, supports X360 racing wheel.

First off, I am a PS3 owner, but to find an answer I needed to come here.

I am looking to buy a massive single player RPG game for my PS3, and I was wondering if Elder Scrolls IV Oblivion would be the best choice, or should I wait for the PS3 release of Mass Effect 2?

Seeing as as of now ME2 is still a 360 exclusive I would bring it up here.

Well, considering Mass Effect isn't really an RPG, but an Action/Adventure game with RPG-esque qualities...I'd say go for Oblivion as it's a terrific game and then pick up ME2 once it comes your way.

I'd really have to disagree. Compared to what PGR3 brought to the table, PGR4 lacked content and attempted to compensate with additional features.

Much obliged. Will begin saving for game + strategy guide. (I like to get the most out of games; go everywhere, do everything type of guy)

I think you need to play ME first before ME2. I have still yet to play ME2. I don't think you need a strategy guide... check out game faqs.

Hows it going old buddy? Anyway, would watching someone's in depth walk through for ME1 work just as well? I don't have anything that would run it. I have a PS3, and a Mac.
