Ok, due to the inactivity of some of our members, we (the BESTuners crew) are going to start a thread to recruit a new member. Here are the requirements:

  • You must be able to type a review of the tuned car, listing it's pros and cons, it's looks, and it's history (completely optional) in seperate paragraphs or some other defined way.
  • You must be able to take at least 10-20 Photomode pictures. They do not have to be edited with image editing programs like Photoshop, but it's highly encouraged.
  • You have to be able to tune a car well. There should be a noticible positive difference in the handling of the car after your tuning.
  • You have to run a hot lap at Deep Forest with your car. It must be after the tuning process, and it can be done on the tires of your choice. Your laptime needs to be included at the top of your report.
  • We want you to contribute at least 3 reports a month. That is bare minimum. If you do not have a lot of time, and you only think you can do 2 or less a month, please do not consider this.

For now, there are no more spaces open.

Send your finished tryout report to Duċk. We'll post your report anonymously in a poll, to see if people like it. Ultimately, the BESTuners crew has to like it, but the people can influence us. If we're unsatisfied with it, then we may not accept you.

Also, THIS is BESTuners. There are a variety of reports there to see examples for your tryout report.

And DO NOT post your reports in here. Thank you. :)

If you are accepted, you will receive BESTuners' password, so you can start contributing reports.

I'll consider it, but when you say tunning for better handlins, does it mean putting super softs on a car, or messing with the settings. I and do we we\rite about any given car we want to or, are we assigned one?

From Duck's im's, Get it to perform as well as you can no matter what you do to it.

Also, it seems you can choose any car you want :)

You have to make the car handle better, using the suspension, LSD, etc. You can use R5s, but it still has to handle better than if you didn't mess with the settings.
 
I'll do this if it can help out people for GT Mode races in the WRS and any other competition, or just regular driving. GT Mode is my favorite mode and I'd like to think I'm quite adept at settings. I managed a podium during last weeks GT Mode race so I must be doing something right :D
 
isn't it supposed to be annonymous? I think everyone should get to work on their reviews instead of telling others they are going to write a review. ;)

Pretty much, good grammar is expected, but we're fine with a few spelling mistakes. Also, 2 people are in consideration at this moment, so I won't be able to accept any more reports. Well, I will accept them, but I won't post them.

@ Mike Rotch - You're a big gloater now. But that review is definitely Car & Driver worthy. 👍

Anyway, I'll post up the tryout in a few minutes. 👍
 
Maybe you, BESTuners, can make a weekly or monthly report for the GTP magazine, you should talk with Jordan about it....... Is just an idea I have, maybe you like it or not

Hey, has it ended yet? I'm taking a shot right now and I'm very intersted in a spot. Please don't close it down yet.
 
I'm going to have to say that the BESTuners tryout is now closed. Unless neither kennythebomb or 95VR6GTi get accepted, I'll post another tryout report up, but the chances are very, very slim.

This is directed at everyone.
