Hi all, this is my first thread!:p I seem to be very bad at following games before they're released...do you think there will be any possible plans for a beta team or have they already denied that? Im sure they have trained professionals for that...I'd like to know, and I was on the beta team for TDU2;)

Special editions...GT5 had two different versions of special editions, one of which came in a shiny box...which is epic. Problem is, they didn't release it in the states. I don't have any special editions of any of my games but I'd love GT6 to be the first, hopefully they'll have a nice selection of exclusive cars. I just wanted to know if they sell special editions on the release date or if you have to wait a while thereafter?

Also I apologize if this has been mentioned before...Thanks guys :)

They had them available on the release day for GT5, even had a special contest for Signiture Editions only. Problem was like you said NTSC didn't get a signiture edition but PAL did? Hope this is not an issue for GT6.

I heard about that, they claimed the prize was a legitimate SLS AMG, but I never heard of the official winner. I hope they release a GT6 signature edition in North America, as a large part of GT's fan base resides here:p I assume you have to purchase the special editions online, yes?

For GT5 you could purchase the Special editions either online or at retail. For NTSC we only had the Collectors edition. Depending on where you bought it you would get a bonus Stealth Car.

Amazon- SLS
Target- 787B
Wal-Mart- NSX
Gamestop- F1, Nascar
Best Buy- GTR

I don't know how it worked for PAL, so one of them will have to chime in.

I hope PD decides to market a signature edition type deal to NTSC. I don't know why they would only market to like half of the world...you'd think they'd want to sell globally. Maybe we can find someone who bought a signature edition. There are plenty of 'unboxing' videos on YouTube. :dopey:

Hopefully there will be special editions like the Signature edition and the Collectors edition was for GT5.

I'm going to buy the game day 1, regardless. :D

GT5 Signature edition includes SLS model
What car should be in GT6 Signature edition if there even is a Signature edition?

👍👍👍 Me too.

Not all sig editions came with the SLS. If I could chose what car would be stealth, it would be the Gumpert Apollo S.

Bump!
was going to start a thread, thought better to add to this one!

I really hope that PD sort out the release of different versions - making the them available all around the world. Especially with any special cars. I think a number of people (ie customers) felt it particularly unfair when they couldn't get the chromeline XJ13 or the Camaro Edge

I don't think PD should do a beta or a pre-release (both will take up time that could be used to finish making the game). Instead, I think they should put out a demo.

The demo could have:

- 5 cars from different classes.

- Multiplayer races (the multiplayer function of the demo would stop working when GT6 released)

- 5 single player races. These races would earn you credits to customize the 5 cars.

- The ability to keep your earned credits when the final game releases.

As for Special editions here is my idea:

- Standard game $60

- Special edition (metal case & stickers) $70

- Collectors edition (model of whatever car is on the cover, making of documentary, keychain, book, everything from special edition) $100

So far, the best special edition game I've bought was Skyrim. I'd like to see more special editions like that.

My idea for a special edition

- $100
- Metal Case
- Strategy guide
- All tracks unlocked in every mode from Day 1
- Start with 100,000 credits instead of 10,000
- GT logo keychain
- Making of GT6 60 min bluray documentary
- GT Academy at the Nurburgring 24 hrs 60 min bluray documentary
- All GT6 trailers on disc
