How do I make my car turn better? I know I cant get it like a F1 car but I'm tryin to make my Skyline turn better. It kinda sucks right now.

Hey Viper Maniac!

Oooh! Skylines huh! Not my most favorite car! There handling characteristics resemble that of a shoping cart! I usually have a problem with understeer in that car. Currently I am racing in Zero's competition and the car that we are using is the Calsonic Skyline. I have had some luck tuning this car!

Here are some guide lines that I used in my set-up.

Low rear rebound and a high front bound=Makes your car very loose into the turns.

Low front rebound and a high rear bound=Makes your car very loose out of the turns.

Doing the exact opposite has the opposite effect.

Spring Rates- I have kept the front springs around the 12-14 range and the rear springs around the 13-15 range.

Camber- angles around 3 to 4 degrees on the front have seemed to be benificial.

Hope that this can shed some light on the situation for you.

Peace,

Boom

Understeer is a problem for all AWD cars. If you have the VCD installed, try reducing the amount of torque sent to the front wheels. Boom's advice is sound, as well.

Also, try a different car. People tend to be seduced by the Skyline's raw power, and turn a blind eye to its mediocre handling. Try an Evo, like the VI RS, for something a little handier in the corners, but still AWD.

i do like my 1100 bhp skyline:D but it does handle like crap, so ive now got a loctite skyline which is the dogs bollocks!(that means really really good for non uk peeps)

It is only 2 wheel drive. That might account for the much better handling. The car is fast though.

Can VCD increase a front wheel drive cars speed, by adjusting amount of torque to the front wheels or what..?
