So just to set the level of frustration here. I qualified 3rd. 1st and 2nd had bad starts so I lead most of the race. However, 2nd place was a faster driver than me and was cutting about half second out of my lead per lap. By lap 5 he was right on my bumper so I pitted to hopefully come out in clean track and make up some ground.
It worked perfectly as he pitted lap 7 and came out 2 sec behind me. But I knew it was going to be close in the end and now he had fresher tires. Somehow at the end of lap 9 I still have 2 sec so my strategy is to actually just try and run the tenth lap clean, let him have a second or so back and win.
So now this is me just about to start that tenth lap. And the flash you see going by is him, eventually winning the race of course.
