This thread is for those who are looking for high end gears to enjoy GT Sport. Those wheels, pedals and shifter that I recommend is beyond GTSport supported list, so if you're hardware nuts, there you go.
For wheel and pedals, you'll need GIMX G29 emulation device for 30 euro. And you need a PC ( laptop or win7 PC for realtime G29 emulation )
Logitech G29 Emulator
GIMX : https://gimx.fr/wiki/index.php?title=Quick_Start#Gimx-config
The goal of GIMX is to fool PS4 that a logitech G29 was connected via USB port.
So lets get started. The current standard in PC SimRacing is Direct Drive Servo Wheel and Load Cell pedal.
Direct Drive Servo Wheel
I'm using SIMUCUBE 20NM version assembled by SimracingBay.com. There are other options like :

2. https://sim-pli.city/products/sw20-20nm-direct-drive-wheel
3. https://www.simracingbay.com/product-category/osw-assembled-builds/
Those 3 suppliers are using same system provided by Granite Devices

Once you try Direct Drive and LoadCell Pedal with GTSport, you'll experience a whole new level of immersion. I'm not saying that you could shave few secs here and there, but the immersion factor that makes you want to hop in and drive whenever possible. The detailed rumble when hitting those T1 and T2 kerbs at Nurb GP is so awesome. And I always wondering if PS actually laser scanned the green hell. The tiny details are there ( when using DD ).
I can only compare with my t500 and off course the immersion experience is like night and day. The loadcell brake is another thing that you should experience. Once you tune GIMX configuration file up to you liking ( deadzone / sensitivity / min/max ), then you can modulate the trail braking
As for myself, my gears are as follows:
Steering System : Large MiGE Simucube 480watt ( 100% power 20nm , 1 torque, 7 sensitivity )
Wheel : OMP 350mm
Shifter : DSD Pro Sequential
Pedal : Fanatec V3 with Brake 90kg Damper add-ons
Cockpit : Steel DIY to withstand the Direct Drive force
Demo :
