Bigger angle with AWD,FR,or FF?

This might sound stupid but I would like to know what is the best type of car to get the best angle and still exit out strong. I mean fast. I know AWD can do that pretty good but sometimes too crazy. FR are good but too much wheel spin. FF doesn't get much speed but if it did It could be pretty competitive. Recommend some cars too.

Try to post your best angle pics and we all can compare,but only post them if your angle works out at the end. You might be confused and that's okey cuz I never really type clearly :indiff:
 
I would also say AWD's. From my experience some Impreza's and Evo's can get some crazy angles and recover. U can get great angle in a FR if u know good car control and not snap it back while countersteering.
 
for any given corner a properly setup AWD will have the ability to drift successully at a larger angle than the other drivetrains.
(correct me if I'm wrong, but is this not the very reason AWD's are not allowed to participate in D1?)

that's not to say you can't hit huge angles with FR's or FF's. In Centrifuge 3 my R31 must have been somewhere close to 70degrees when linking turns 1 and 2 on GVE2.

For this comparison to hold the slightest merit you'd have to compare the three 3 drivetrains at the same corner. AWD should be the out-and-out winner.
 
agreed BL. Wow didn't know that was the reason AWD wasn't allowed in D1GP. Yes AWD just has the better ability of getting a bigger angle in turns then a FR or FF.

YEAH BRYKSPYKE!! FF DRIFT'S RULE!!



Basically...AWD's get the biggest like every one...One time in Trial Mtn. I was going through the tunnel, and hit the little "gutter" in the rear, causing me to almost spin-out. Then I held the throttle and it suddenly whipped back...Same thing with FF's, you can get a big angle, just as long as you can get it back straight...And FR's, try to get your biggest angle with FR's and control it...

 
on a technical side. FF can get the highest angle and still recover. However it's usually a fairly short drift so AWD's look better for extreme angle.
 
You can beyond drift (at least I can) any car in GT4 succesfully. That means beyond 90* angle and a smooth proper line. Go throw it into HSR turn 1 at 170+mph and beyond 90* angle and I can assure you that after some practice you will be able to pull it off with most any car.

Yes, yes you would. That is why I sometimes call it reverse drifting. And I've done it. I think that it's hilarious that you can do it in this game and still pull it off cleanly. That is such a glitch. :dunce:

I've seen 90 degree plus drifts in GT3 and GT4. But you can't get to much more then that.

Anyway, in the game, it happens and actually looks kinda cool when done right. DR and CMD were very good at it in GT3.

Yep, FF's have the clear advantage when it comes to angle... A FWD vehicle can get high angles and still recover... AWD is a close second, and RWD's being in last place...
