Went to Alton towers yesterday, Peugeot were doing this promotion thing and had a range of cars on show in side the park. This included a rally 307, more ro less the same that you'd see on the WRC, anyway, it had a PS2 installed and a LCD screen on the dash and they were running this competition thing for some passes to the hotel. It was quickest lap wins, I managed a 1.45 but the quickest was a 1.36 BAH !

So yeah - if you live in UK and never been to Alton Towers then go - Its brilliant, the new rides they have AIR for one is really good. Stuff is way overpriced like a £1 for bottle of water but hey you only go once a year !

The birds !! woohoo ! - It was a really warm day and they birds were out in numbers, everywhere you looked there was T n A all over the place !! YEAH.

Never been to Alton Towers, it's a bit far away for me. Chessington is great though, some really cool rides. Thorpe park is coming up now as well. It has the 'Worlds first ten looping rollercoaster'. So its not so much for the kiddies anymore.
 
We try and go Alton Towers once a year at least, went a couple of months ago 👍 Best ride is Nemesis( we always make sure to get 3 or 4 goes on that one:D ) ...the Oblivion is cool too but rather short for the amount of time you have to queue for :grumpy: That Air ride looked pretty crap when we was queing for it, but it was pretty cool!

Alton Towers has got to be the best of it's kind in Britain.
Was it packed out with being school holidays? We always try to go when it will be the least busy and take our own butties and drinks as it's too expensive! :O

As for the birds... well they don't interest me, but Ron always enjoys the scenery :D
 
I like Alton Towers. The oblivion was cool, but the fact that they use smoke to disguise the hole, to make it seem smaller, was a bit rubbish.

The Nemesis was cool, and so was the Squirrel Nutty ride (http://www.towerstimes.co.uk/rides/storybook/nut.htm).

I only really had a problem with the Submission ride. It was more painful than anything else.

well we were kind of expecting there to be hundreds of kids everywhere but it wasnt too bad - The wasps were a real pain in the ass though, my mate got stung twice on the neck !! the nemesis is the best ride I think - it lasts longer than you think and is well fast !

And I found out what that Game might be.

It might of been WRC4. Its got a promotion with Peugoet I beleive.

is alton towers like a 6 flags?

only european park i've been to is Wallaby in wavre when i was in belgium with my cousin.

i heard they changed it to 6 flags since though.

Yeppers.

Roller Coaster Tycoon 2.

I was destroying the park in the game. So I eventually blew all the rides up and made them to dangarous. Killed 2,345 people in the act.
