a few months ago my life changed for the better, i recieved a gift from my uncle, a black 1986 bmw 325 in beautiful condition. then a truck backed into my car at wal mart, thus begins my quest to restore my car. and since i have to buy new stuff for it anyway i might as well go the extra step and get some nice nicessitys.

so if anyone can help me, i need a to know were to get bimmer hoods fenders grills etc.

Its been a while since I've been behind the wheel of an E30, let alone looked for parts for one.

Are you doing the work yourself or are you getting it done at a bodyshop? Either way, I's suggest OEM body panels, not the godawful Zender type crap.

Best hit up an E30 forum for vendors. Roadfly.com has a network of pretty good forums you can check out. You can also try bmwE30.net and Unofficial BMW. Just do a search on those keywords, they'll come right up.

Good luck with the repairs.

Where are you located in the world? Are you a member of the BMWCCA if you live in the USA? Here is a link http://www.roadfly.org/bmw/ that might help you in your quest to rebuld your e30! I have a 1984 323i gray market import that I'm starting to build up. Go look around in to the auto salvage yards in your area to find parts you need to fix the body damage. There is a lot of parts out there for the e30s and some parts fit from E36, E46, and Z3 cars.

my internet has been down for quite some time, anyway im doing the work myself and i really dont want to go oem but it really dosent matter the car is awesome anyway you put it. i dont currently belong to any clubs or organizations but anyway i live in southern california, is there anywhere i can go out here to get help?

If I were you join the BMWCCA and go to the local chapter meetings so you can get some contacts. A good majority of the members of the BMWCCA are a bunch of hack mechanics that love to drive their cars fast. One free day go look around for wrecking yards to find cheap body parts. See if there is a Ecology Junk Yard in your area. My brother goes to California few times a year to pick up parts at Ecology. Arizona location of Ecology doesn't have a lot of E30 parts. Here is the link for Ecology. http://www.ecoparts.com/
