Calling all Brummies. I am a Kiwi who lives in Birmingham. I have now been here for nearly a year. It has been a spectacular time thus far, but there is something missing. That missing thing my friends is my beer. I yearn for the taste of dear old Speights Gold Medal Ale. There used to be a Speights Ale House in London, unfortunately it's now shut. If it's possible to get Australian beers here it must be possible to get Speights Gold here too. If it means a trip on a bus or train to get it I will do so. Please, please when going to the off-license to stock up, keep your eyes peeled for the liquid heaven in a bottle, pictured below.

The only place I know of in Birmingham that might be able to help you out is the Post Office Vaults in the middle of the city: http://postofficevaults.co.uk/ If they don't have it in stock, they might be able to help you find it.
I have thought about doing just that and looked into it. The issue is that it's astronomically priced. To be fair though I predict it's going to be like that however I can get it

It sounds like you need to try new beers, and the vaults is the best place for it. Their book of bottled beers could probably kill someone haha! Prefer a cask ale myself though.
