What in the world is wrong with the AI in this series? In four of the five races, they went down pit road on the very first lap. At Monza they even pitted twice! Here's the kicker: two of those events were in the rain (Monza and La Sarthe and I'm familiar with the AI stupidity in those cases) but Tokyo and Nurburgring were under clear blue skies and the AI still dove onto pit road after the first lap! Did these idiots still have rain tires on from the previous races or what?

It gets even better. After leaving pit road, they were obviously a good 30 seconds to a minute behind me...and yet they somehow managed to make up that ground within two or three laps! At this rate I expected them to go screaming past me, never to be heard from again, but they stayed behind me for the rest of the race.

I was always aware of the subtle rubberbanding that goes on at times in GT5 and never had a huge problem with the AI and I don't mean to complain too much because the last lap and a half at Nurburgring was epic... but this was egregious.

Yeah, they keep the tires they had from the last race:grumpy:

Talking about rubberbanding, I once had the Jag XJR9 almost scream past me on the straight, prolly doing 400+km/h:odd:

Same thing happened to me at Dreamcar, both the Monza and Sarthe races were in the rain but for some reason every event they pitted on lap 1 and then managed to boogie their way back up to me.

The next time I did it all the races were sunny and they never pitted. Go figure.

This happened to me too. Big-time rubber banding going on there. Would've loved to have seen the AI's fast laps in some of these races.
