Anybody heading out for the biggest shopping day of the year? I'm 20 minutes from the US border and will be heading down for the first time this year....early.

Not really sure what I'm looking for but a ps3 headset wouldn't be bad, maybe a couple games depending on what's left and on sale, and maybe Christmas present here and there.

Here in Ontario, Buffalo is no good anymore. There was the time where not many people headed down to WNY to shop, however it has become popular, and even 2 hours west of Buffalo on the I90, past Rochester, there is an outlet mall full of, you guessed it, Canadians. Even in Pennsylvania, there are parking lots full of Canadians looking for deals. Because of this, you can't really find any good deals anymore. By the time you get there, its all sold out.

Day after Thanksgiving in the US marks the start of the Christmas holiday season. Retail outlets have huge sales on that day. Why? I have no idea.

I don't either. Here in Canada its Boxing Day (day after Christmas) which makes sense to me. Everyone has bought their presents and they are blowing out what's left. This doesn't make sense but cheap stuff is great. Luckily I live close to the border so online shopping is possible too by getting it shipped to a place just across the border.

If your list is long enough to justify spending $100 for a hotel stay, head to Cleveland the day before.

Better yet, order your electronics online because the deals last all weekend anyway.

After-Christmas sales are big here too, but they're not advertised heavily.

I am definitely taking this path. Last year was my first time going to Black Friday and it was atrocious! I never knew how people were crazy about this day until the actual day.

I was at a Best Buy at 3 AM and there were a bunch of drunk/high people attempting to crowd surf on the crowd but eventually most just fail and fall straight into the ground. Then are followed out to the door by the security.
