Black LMPs: Steering trouble

I recently ran some tests on all my LMP cars to see which is my favorite/best, and one of those tests was a max speed run on Test Course.

However, on the turn, the four black cars, the 787B and GT-One in particular, were very twitchy. While my XJ-R9 and 88C-V could take the bank with my slow, methodical tapping of the D Pad to get a smoothe turn, the black cars wanted to go all over the place :scared: . One tap causes the car to dart quickly in that direction, and I found myself using the entire road trying to keep away from the walls, slamming into them some, even at speeds of around 230mph, where turning should be rather steady and slow.

What could be the cause of this, and can it be fixed? All cars were run with stock settings, and I had only driven around 13 miles in each of the black cars (so rigitify refresher should not have been an issue)

I am perplexed; of all my cars capable of speeds above 180, the black cars are the only ones that become unstable and oversteer at super high speed.

You have to do a chasis refresh, I had the same problem, but because they are used I pulled the switch, and they are good to go !!

Thanks 👍
I assumed that chassis refresh came with all purchased or won cars that are several years old. I'll go install them!

After you put some miles (around 500 or so?) on them, the chassis refresh becomes available to purchase once again. I put over 500 miles on my '91 GS300, but I'd bought it after about 40-50 miles to straighten the car out. Later on, the icon appeared again at the tuning shop (athough I hadn't noticed any difference in handling because I'd bought a racing suspension by that time).

My guess is that the icon re-appears after a certain amount of mileage on any car (except the PD Formula GT car). I wonder how many times you can use it on the same car?

If you add the rollcage option, the amount of chassis warp is significantly reduced. One thing to remeber though if you B-Spec some of the endurance races the wear on the chassis is significantly increased because of the way the B-Spec driver handles the car.
