Feel free to print these lists out, and use them as toilet paper.

ELP at #2? Please. This makes Rolling Stone look credible...

No kidding. I don't have too much argument with his song choices (though he left out half a dozen off the top of my head, and I have to assume no order of preference). But his Artists list has about 20 people on it that have no business there, Primus being tops among them.

Billy Joel deserves the place of dishonor on any Worst Artists of All Time list for making such a stupefying amount of money selling such total crap music.

Well, his songs list I have no problems with. But his lists of 'worst artists' needs some editing.

1. Insane Clown Posse
14. Yngwie Malmsteen
23. Creed
37. The Doors
How did The Doors make it onto that list? And Yngwie Malmsteen too. Although I'm not much of a fan of Malmsteen, he did bring some great influences to the 6-string! 👎

Well, at least they got #1 right, but #23 should be bumped up to #2.

I wouldn't call a lot of those songs the worst ever, most of them are actually quite popular. But I just take this stuff with a grain of salt and thing the people that made the list are a bunch of idiots because they don't realize people like different things. It should be "Mr. Whoever's picks for the worst songs ever"...my list would be completly different.

The End by The doors is an awesome track. The Doors are awesome in general.

Putting The End as worse than Barbie Girl by Aqua?? That guy needs a slap.

And Illegal Alien was by the Police, not Genesis.

Emerson Lake and Palmer at #2? Does this guy spell "way" with an f or what?

Lots of the songs I like(d) are on that list. :grumpy:

Oh, Duke..........

Personally, I think his kill ratio is pretty good. There are only four songs and two artists I'd delete from his list.

Other than his failure to include Dave Matthews on the artists list, he did pretty well.

Let me see what his kill ratio is...

These songs should not have been on the list:

1. We Built This City - Starship (1985)
3. Everybody Have Fun Tonight - Wang Chung (1986)
6. The Heart of Rock & Roll - Huey Lewis and the News (1984)
7. Don't Worry, Be Happy - Bobby McFerrin (1988)

24. Superman - Five for Fighting (2000)
42. The Sounds of Silence - Simon & Garfunkel (1965)
44. I'll Do Anything for Love (But I Won't Do That) - Meat Loaf (1993)
48. Ob-La-Di, Ob-La-Da - The Beatles (1968)

That's 13 misfires, out of 50 for a kill ratio of 74%.

I'd say 74% is pretty freakin bad for a list like this. It should have been in the 90% range easily.

Oh, they bloody well should've been on that list, and kudos to him for putting the worst of the lot at Number One...

I know a version of that called "business man in whitehawk" :p

Why the hell is jamaraquoi on that list.

Who wrote this garbage? This list is even worse than that 100 best rock bands/songs/whatever it was. I don't know why they put Paul Oakenfold up there and Creed isn't bad either.

I can think of many artists worse than ICP. You shouldn't take them seriously.

Making a list like this makes no sense, maybe they could define a worst artist per GENRE, not for music as a whole. I mean, in which way would Benzino be worse than for example Celine Dion or the Doors? They're different type of music. Sure, Benzino sucks ass, but I'm sure any rap fan will pick him to listen to over the Doors any time.

Again it's the conjecture of a bunch of people that have more than once seen fit to put Britney Spears on the cover. That gives me some pause, as far as taking them seriously.

You'll notice that they said nothing about "Dr Hook and the Medicine Show" who pretty much were at the lower end of mediocre, but quite funny with some of their music.
But then Dr Hook, make "Rolling Stone" seem like a credible source for entertainment information.

Yeah they may have bad "image" but the music is still good/above average.

Also I rather like Air Supply and Toad the Wet Sprocket..

29. Breakfast at Tiffany's - Deep Blue Something (1995) <-- That's acceptable too, I suppose...I have listened to it more than once

I think compared to a lot of lists created in the last few years or so (I'm looking directly at Rolling Stone), this one is actually decent. Sure, some people are going to like some of those songs, but you can't please everyone.

Personally, the song list wasn't too bad. Most of those songs I can agree with Blender for listing them as being total crap. There's a few songs I disagree with like:
Blender
7. Don't Worry, Be Happy - Bobby McFerrin (1988)
19. Broken Wings - Mr. Mister (1985)
21. Two Princes - Spin Doctors (1992)
24. Superman - Five for Fighting (2000)
26. The End - The Doors (1967)
But generally the list isn't too bad.

As for the artists list, I strongly disagree with a few.
Blender
14. Yngwie Malmsteen
22. Primus
25. Jamiroquai
34. Live
37. The Doors
44. Manowar
46. The Spin Doctors
Yngwie? Primus? Jamiroquai? The Doors? I can understand the dislike of Live, The Spin Doctors and Manowar, but there are loads of artists I can think of that are worse.

Overall better than other lists around, but still, it wasn't a list that had much thought put to it.

By the way, GG Allin is worse than any of those artists above combined. If you don't believe it go download any of his songs.

^^ That's the guy.

Note the misspelled tattoo on his right pec...

Ok, did it, I didn't even read his tattoos. It was hard enough trying to find a picture without him showing any offensive pics.

But what would you expect from a guy who would pee on his audience off the stage and fling his feces at those idiots who would go and see him...

I changed the pic for a slightly less offensive pic.... him on his death bed. :S

Best one I could find, here's part of the description from allmusic.com, which is hilarious:

To some, G.G. Allin was the ultimate symbol of rock & roll rebellion, taking it to extremes that no one else was dangerous enough to explore. To others, he was a lunatic whose attempts to shock and disgust were too ham-fisted to be taken seriously. Wherever the truth lay, there can be no doubt that Allin was the most spectacular degenerate in rock & roll history. Music was almost incidental to his violent, scatological stage act, which got him arrested over 50 times for a litany of offenses, and made Iggy Pop's antics with the Stooges look like The Donny & Marie Show. Rarely performing for more than 10-20 minutes before clubs shut him down, Allin usually took the stage in a jockstrap and wound up nude; he beat himself bloody with broken bottles, torn cans, and microphones (when he wasn't trying to shove the latter up his own ass); he attacked and was attacked by his own audience; he urinated on the stage, on his band, on the audience; he frequently took laxatives before shows in order to defecate on the stage, after which he generally ate his own feces or threw them at the audience; and yet, somehow, he still found audience members willing to perform oral sex on him on-stage. Needless to say, he also ingested enormous amounts of booze and drugs, served several prison terms, and even promised to commit suicide on-stage on Halloween (he died of an overdose in 1993 before he could follow through). His songs -- such as they were -- were comically over-the-top hell-raisers about substance abuse, casual violence, and sexual conduct that was at best degrading and at worst criminal. Yet no matter how vile he was, Allin had his supporters, whether they belonged to the outermost fringes of society, admired his absolute freedom of expression, or were simply fascinated by the spectacle of a man venting all the ugliest, most primal impulses of the human id.

Anyone disagree with me about worst artist EVER????

*edit*

great, now that other pic is still visible in a quoted post. Don't ban me for that.
