Blinky Red Down Shift Gear Indicator!

I hate this thing!!! Instead of learning the courses I find myself relying on this stupid flashy thing to tell me when to brake. Is there anyway of getting this thing to turn off? The only thing I can think of is taping a piece of black paper to my TV over top of where this is at.

I agree. Part of the challenge, heck. A lot of the challenge is to learn the course.
Now a careful child that knows nothing about racing can do the nurburgring in a very quick time.

I have come to accept it because its been in the game forever however.
This anti-skid force can be filtered in the online feature. So should this break-marker.

You mean the race lines? You can turn that off under driving options prior to the race.

Get duct tape and tape that area of the screen so you can't see the gear suggestion?

Lol, someone who knows the track will always be faster than someone who relies on the gear indicator.

Yeah, it's essentially a "corner coming up" indicator. Sometimes it has you approaching corners too fast or too slow (usually the latter so you're losing time).

I love when a 3 pops up, then starts flashing, you slow for the corner, changing into 3rd then its suddenly a 2 and you either need to brake and run wide or you're in the wall.

I agree with what's been said though. Learn the tracks and ignore it, you'll be faster.
