I read about this one earlier. First of all, I hate white chocolate and Walker. Antoine Walker is one of the most selfish players, out on the court. J Will, he is a proven cancer. I really like Wade, so I want the Heat to succeed(as soon as Shaq retires :sly: ). J Will and Walker will be a distraction for the Heat, especially for Wade. If those two clowns actually decide to be team players, Heat can do some serious damage. However, we are talking about two of the most selfish players in NBA(that's pretty selfish).

I agree with Giancarlo. What is Miami thinking?

I can only hope our great coaching staff can turn these guys around. It's not like they're going to be team centerpieces anyway.

The only thing that still saddens me is that the Heat have to once again get used to a very new team. Last year we did great in the same situation, but can lightning strike twice? Damn i hope so.

The Celts got some money, a couple scrubs (Qyntel Woods and some 7' stiff) and a couple second-rounders. That's a lot better than the option of just letting Walker go for nothing.

How does Shaq make so much money? I thought the max contract scale for NBA players was around 17 million bucks or something like that.

Oh, Sweet Je*us!. Celtics got Qyntel!? I wouldn't wish that on my worst enemy. Cut him loose. Now! Send him to a foreign league, so he can play with JR Rider.
 
I personally hate Antoine Walker, not only is he selfish, he's really not that good in my opinion. He throws up three pointers all game, and he's lucky to hit on 30 percent. As for Jason Williams, everyone everywhere is saying he will be a horrible addition, a distraction, I have to disagree. When he was in Sacramento, and maybe early in his Memphis days, he was a distraction, and not a very disciplined player. Hubie Brown kind of "reeled him in", making him a less selfish, more disciplined, and overall better player. You have to remember, he is still one of the best playmakers in the league, and if you get him on the fast-break with Wade, it's one highlight after another waiting to happen. You can't forget about James Posey as well, he is a definite upgrade from Eddie Jones. A great defender, can shoot the three well, and is tall enough to play small forward, a problem the Heat had last year when they had to put six foot five Eddie Jones there. Aside from Antoine Walker, I think this deal will work out well for the Heat.

I do agree that J Will's ability to create plays, especially on the fly could help push Heat, perhaps all the way to the top of the league. Unfortunately, he has a inner demon. I don't think the question is "if", but "when" that demon will come out. He kept it in check most of the time in Memphis. I guess we'll see how he'll do in Miami.
 
Posey will be a great addition to the Miami Heat. I'm not so sure about J-Will though. As for Antoine Walker - he better change if he wants to help the Heat win a championship. By changing I mean being less selfish and quit throwing up worthless 3-pointers.

There's no way Haslem will lose his starting spot to Walker. He earns his check every night, doing all the dirty work nobody else wants to do.

There is a way, and it's that Antoine Walker is a much better player overall. Haslem may be a much harder worker, but talent will win it for Walker. However, every game that Walker struggles, is selfish, or is just plain sucking it up out there (and I'm sure there'll be a lot of them, especially early in the season) Haslem will log heavy minutes for sure. If Haslem has improved his offensive game enough to be a consistent scoring threat, then he may start, but I think Walker has him beat for it right now. The real problem will be those two co-existing.
