Sorry to be abrupt, but I just got in after being stuck on a side road off the highway. SR84, actually.
My dad tried to pass some moron to get back in the correct lane, and we went over a hill, accelerating in order to pass safely without cutting the other dude off.
Anyway, the genius road architect guy decided to put a blind curb JUST on the opposite side of the crest. We couldn't really go anywhere, but luckily my dad managed to dodge a sign. It looked like that off-ramp paint up ahead...who would know there is a curb there without it being too late? Anyway, we ran over the thing and blew out both left tires. Originally we had thought the front one was the only flat, but it turned out the rear went as well. So, we were more or less ****ed into calling a flatbed. It was POURING rain and we had to wait a pretty long time for the flatbed, let alone finding a tow company. If my dad didn't have the number for another tow company he uses out east, we would've been walking.
I got out of the car and the water was up to my shins. the cab driver was pretty funny. He had some kind of Fuso-looking turbodiesel flatbed. oh. my. god., I've never riden in a flatbed, let alone at those speeds. They might as well've called it "Haul Ass Towing Co." That turbo was screaming and he was doing 95 like the entire time. I thought, "If this guy hits the brakes, or does something, we're totally gonna die. My leg's gonna break on this dashboard and i'm totally going through the windsheild."
My dad told me he was thinking the same afterwards, too.
So, like...yeah. That was my first and only blowout-experience, ever. I'm suprised at how the GS300's electronics kicked in so efficiently, allowing us a safe 200 ft. roll to a safe spot to pull over.
So, The purpose of this topic is to share all your blowout experiences and the stories following. Yeah.
