blue headlights

So what's with the skyline and a few other select cars having blue headlights?

Are they supposed to be xenon? I thought the skyline stopped being manufactured before the whole xenon headlight thing.... Why don't the mercedes and some of the other cars have the blue lights? The RX-8 is going to have them... why not in the game?

I don't get it.

the r-x8 doesnt have xenon lights because its the concept model and that didnt either, not sure bout the skyline

The blue tint on the headlight are suppost to show projection headlights. Top end cars have then but not all top end. Depends on the rules of the road for were the car is made.

Well, go to Special Stage route 5, take the rx-8 for a spin and reverse the look, it'll be blue

So then the Nissan Skyline is acurate when protrayed with the blue headlights? Even still. I wonder why they didn't put those lights on the mercedes and some of the other high end cars. I'm guessing (this is just a guess) that they're showing you the cars that they want to look cool. I don't think it has anything to do with being realistic. I think they're trying showing their bias towards certain models (eg: skyline).

The exception would be the raybrig NSX which I imagine actually has those lights. I'm not referring to racing cars in general, I'm thinking about road cars.

Anyone disagree?

One possible argument against the statement I made up there is that there are many types of lights. Green, yellow, white (almost silver like on the RX-8 (which apparently looks blue on certain tracks)). Maybe the portrayal of xenon lights in the game came out slightly more white and the skyline's blueness is something else entirely....

In actual BMW and Mercedes dealerships, they would charge extra for the H.I.D's so maybe thats why u dont see the blue headlights because its in its regular yellow color headlight form.

skylines has blue lights (HID) if look from far away in real life u can see blue can when u see it close up u see white light whic called "HIGH INTENTSIVE DISCHARGE" (HID)
