I only hear chat on my bluetooth; think you need miced headphone set for what you want .

You actually need a headphone that can mix the 2. PS3 outputs audio through either a optical wire, or HDMI/RWY wires. It outputs chat via bluetooth or USB. As you can tell, they don't share a common output so to get them both to the same audio solution, you need a headphone that plugs into 1 output from each.

Getting them to mix in your headphone without some sort of ridiculous overlay or under tone is where a mixer of some sort would come into play. I personally have chat (from USB) / audio (from optical) going to an Astro Mixamp, which you can then plug in almost ANY headphone/mic combination into and it will mix game audio and chat seamlessly...giving you the options to either have 100% chat or 100% audio, 50/50, or any combination in between.

I think Turtle Beach sells a wired headset that does this.

They do and I love them , You need to make sure if your TV has the rca ins and outs, I had to buy the digital ones as mine only has the digital optical out. Range from about 80 to 150 .

Oh they absolutely do. But in comes the question of what you can use them with. The Astro Mixamp can be used with about any application you want. It is just the all around best solution for mixing 5.1 audio signal with chat. The Astro headsets are a descent quality, but not worth anywhere near the asking price ($200 individually). But the Mixamp is worth every penny ($130 bought individually).

TB makes a good product. But for anyone who wants top notch audio (some would call us an Audiophile), you can mix and match a better sound set up then a plug and play Tritton/TB/Sharkoon set up with a Mixamp and a headphone from a reputable company like Sennheiser. It all depends on how good you want your audio, any budget constraints, and how little thought you want in setting it up.

Bluetooth headphones are a great way to have a wireless interaction with your friends or family and will help you in various other matters concerned with your cell-phone such as assisting in listening to music. So, if you would like to opt for a good quality Bluetooth headset at cheaper rates then look for the deals available online.
