This vehicle has an 2.8L engine which gives the car a power of 191 HP at 5500 RPM and 280 NM at 3500 RPM. This car can reach 100 km/h in just 7 seconds and its top speed is 242 km/h. The weight is unknown.

Anyways, this car appears in GT2 and GT3 A-Spec.

I would like to see this car back in GT7.

The weight is only unknown if you don't bother to look it up.

(1,450 kg by the way.)

Also,

With that already being in the game, there really is no point to the normal version.

Hey! There is an M3 in the game! And M3 has more power than the 328ci.

You say the 328i was in GT2 & 3 (No denying it wasn't.) and didn't know the E46 M3 debuted in GT4? Way back in 2005?

I'm not saying that 328i but the 328 ci! 328 ci was in GT2 & 3. Later it was dropped by E46 M3 which has debuted in GT4.

Whatever alphanumeric soup is on this car, it's still would be irrelevant to put a lesser version of a performance car that is already in the game.

That is exactly the same thing that is already going on with Japanese cars in the game already. Every single stupid variant that ever existed are in the game, and with your suggestions like the 9ffs and Berlingos is the exact same thing.

Then should I change the title and change the images?

I'd quite like this to be added to be honest. It could make a great sleeper with it's non-M bodywork, and if it was good enough to be in previous games it's surely good enough to be in current/future games.

I agree with you regarding the Berlingos but how is the 9FF a poor suggestion? Just about everyone on gtp has been crying out for more Porsche derivatives to be added. There are three in the game, the newest of which is nearly twenty years old.

Why was this not carried over from GT3? A number of Standards not present in GTPSP (e.g. Hyundai Accent Rally Car, Hyundai Click, Auto Union Streamline, Nomad Diablo) finally came back over the course of GT5 and GT6, so this could easily have done. It's not like PDI lost the rights to BMW's cars, unlike, say, the FPVs.

The reason this was included in GT2 (along with multiple variants with different engines) and GT3 was because EA had a special deal with BMW that stopped other developers putting M cars in at the time; hence no M3 or M5 in either of the two games. So instead, PD just put in various models to bolster up BMW's car count. With the embargo lifted by the time GT4 was developed, they could put in the M3, M5 etc. with no issues, which is why this wasn't needed anymore. My only guess is that PD based the E46 M3 in-game model on the 328i, except they overwrote the model entirely instead of just changing it and saving it as another model since it wasn't necessary anymore.

As for the car itself, it'd be cool to see it back, but it really wouldn't serve any reason other than bolstering up the car count some more. If it was brought back as a standard, it'd probably look pretty poor, since it is a GT3 car model. If it was premium, most people would ask why efforts weren't directed towards a more iconic BMW, like the M3. A few other cars haven't made the cut either; the Evo VII rally car and its prototype went bye-bye after GT Concept.

I think that PD should put more models of BMW to bolster up BMW's car count... 507'56, Z4 GT3, M4 Coupe, Vision GT and M3 GT2 are already in GT6, but we need an few more.

Anyways, the Evo VII rally car went bye-bye before GT4 was released... We need this Evo Rally Car back! And the prototype!

So putting in the "meh" cars just to bolster a car list is exactly what they did in GT4, that's why there are (for example) 100+ GC8 Imprezas in GT6.

PDI? Deciding multiple versions of the same car aren't necessary? Good heavens, I suddenly feel a bit faint.

(Note they binned a car with notable differences to another version in the game, but will happily retain two very similar Suzuki Swift Sports.)

BMW seem to be quite the offender for this, what with that Frozen Black M4 being taken out of GT6 at the blink of an eye.

Even worse is that in the past, there have been other variants of cars that would've been quite interesting (or, at the very least, accepted more) that were scrapped before the game even came out. GT Concept had a stock '99 Mustang SVT Cobra that would've complimented the Cobra R quite nicely for a lot of players. But no, everything apart from the model got taken from it early in development, so it isn't even usable.

And also there is an Audi A4 Avant in GT2 demo which has not made to final version of GT2.

I'm up for seeing the 328CI come back into GT, as long as they make an e46 M3 a premium car as well. I mean, I think people forget that Gran Turismo isn't just about driving performance cars, but it is also about trying to enjoy any car on a track. It would be great to see what a normal e46 can do in a newer game.

Me too. 👍

I would like every petrol engine version for all cars in the game. So this would be good re-addition.
The 3 series has slightly different body panels on different engine packages so that they are more distinguishable from others.

Voted. With such power it would fill the gap between old Series 1 and 330i.

But its future would be really foggy with all these incoming and/or existing M additions to the lineup so, I don't think we'll see it anymore. If it appears somehow, Alfa Romeo 156 2.5 V6 will keep him busy. :)
