The two men, aged 20 and 60, both survived but heavily wounded. The website where I found this (AB) even says there was a dog in the car, but not saying it survived. The rumour is that the guys were doing a high speed run on the Autobahn (see the M3 and M6). The M5 didn't had the topspeed limited (option).

And why..
 
That's one wrecked car! I hope the two guys don't have any lasting injuries. It is a testament to the safety of cars today that people can survive when their car crashes at 300kph.
