Just want to see if anyone here is willing to give this a try.

We did this at Buckmore Park karting circuit (UK), and the quickest time we ended up with was a 1:44.630

Should be done as follows...
Arcade >> Time Trial >> Grand Valley Speedway >> Normal
Car: BMW M3 GTR Race Car

Settings: NO Power increases or weight reductions. MUST be done in Arcade mode with a completely untouched car, 'out of the box' and as you found it.

Must be using Racing Medium tyres, no Driving Aids, and Manual transmission. You can use Driving Aids and Automatic if you like, but you won't beat the time with them ;)

We also had a thing where we agreed if you put more than two wheels off the road or on a kerb at any time, the lap did not count. However, in general if you're using that much of the kerb or grass, you're slowing yourself down anyway.

Will be great to see what sort of times you guys get. Times ranged from the 1:44.630 to 1:49s

Shouldn't this go under the online races section, under spot races?

Ah, so it should. Apologies. If a mod could move the topic I'd greatly appreciate it.

I hope I didn't sound rude, and BTW welcome to GTP!

Hi, Darkness_, and welcome to GTPlanet.

As the thread starter, you can move your own threads, for just theis reason. Sometimes they get started in the wrong place. However, I'll move it for you now.

Enjoy your stay with us.

i got a 1.44.822 but it took me 9 laps.

.630 is a very good lap! I think my theoretical best was around a mid-low 1.44...

Just got lucky with a 1.44.608 after another 11 laps. It's tricky getting the absolute maximum out of this car!

Good job, tron :)

I think I can get a 1:44.3, but that would involve spending a lot of time doing lap after lap just trying to get it absolutely perfect. It's not difficult for me to get every lap under 1:45, but getting right down into the 1:44s is the hard part. One mistake during the lap, however small it may be, costs you a couple of tenths, and you simply can't afford to make those mistakes with the laptimes you're aiming for :P

Really good lap though - I wanted to post this to see if I was just stupidly good at Grand Valley. Apparently not! I was shocked when the Buckmore Park guys tried it, and I was 2 seconds faster than any of them.

Also, thanks for the welcome, all - much appreciated.

You guys have got this car near the limit if your getting 1:44's.

I'm currently at 1'47.3. Sooner use this car with R5 tyres though.

Edit :-

Just done a 1'45.827 :D

Love to see a vid of the 1'44 to see where I'm loosing the second.
