Hello everyone.
I've been trying to search for any and all posts concerning this car: the BMW M3 GTR. And I can't find any results. I'm pretty sure that it's because it's 3 letters, and the search engine omits it. But anyway, can anyone here help me for the best possible settings for this beast?
Using S3 tires, and without TCS? (I wanna be able to race this thing in Arcade mode.)
I just can't seem to be able to tune this guy, the other M3's are damn wonderful, but this one seems to be so different.
Thanks a lot.

Well I'd advise putting on racing brakes and brake controller, all the engine upgrades (except nitro),all the drivetrain parts, the racing suspension, weight reduction, and a rollcage, give it an oil change, replace the rims and spoiler. Then go and fix the gear ratios so that the last bar is at the edge of the screen,This should balance acceleration with speed. You should get (with the oil change) about 622 HP from the GTR.

Your Welcome.:)

Can your posts be any more useless?

He's not looking for what parts he should use. He's looking for suspension settings. What settings do you put your racing suspension at? What ride height? What do you put the dampers' rebound at?

Then go and fix the gear ratios so that the last bar is at the edge of the screen,This should balance acceleration with speed.
And that's suitable for every track, is it?

I'm a bit confused with your question since I believe that you cannot transfer tuning settings from GT mode to arcade. In any case check out "Duck's setup workshop" the thread stickied just above your post as a starting point.
Just to see what would hgappen I also tried searching and come up with nothing for "BMW M3 GTR" or any combination of those

GT4 does allow you to use your own cars in arcade mode. Just that street cars have to have street tires and race cars have to have race tires.👍

Nawk what kind of track will be using this setup on. Will it be a Nurburgring Setup, Normal Track Setup(Midfieldish), Low Speed Setup, or Top Speed Setup?💡

All BMW's are so great. Except this car. (well and the X and 1 series)

Piece of thrown together crap in rl, crap in the game too.

I just use my CSL set-up, nothing trick, does a wonderful job on the CSL, makes this thing kinda driveable. P.s Do not put a cage in it

10 9.2
78 80
4 3
7 6
2.8 2.5
-1 +1
3 4

adjust stabilisers depending on how grippy the tires are.

downforce 30 27

lsd 9 33 13

brakes 4 3

gets a 1.06 round midfield with stiffer springs. (r3) and close to 6.20 round the ring (r3 again)

So, are you saying to just forget about trying to tune this car? This thing looks like its just got too much potential for me to just give up on it like that! And plus, I want to be able to race it in Arcade mode, so I can't be using R tires.

As stated earlier, you can´t use your own settings in arcademode. Allthough I believe you can use them in twoplayer mode.

It hasn't really got potential mang. its the bastard offspring child of BMW

Nawk, first, and with all due respect to Incary, there are no "good" or "bad" cars (and, yes, in real life they were laying waste to 911's (or 997's or whatever they are :dunce: )). In particular, if you like this car then go and have fun with it. It may or may not ultimately be fast enough depending who or what you are racing against but the only way to find that out is to race.

In any case check out "Duck's setup workshop" the thread stickied just above your post as a starting point.

Second, did you go to Duck's set-ups? That's a decent starting point. Read the various tuning guides stickied above as well to give some idea of what settings to change to achieve a particular change in handling.

My advice would be to take Duck's settings and run a few laps to get a feel for the car. Since his settings are for, I think, Midfield, you'll need to make them appropriate for Nurburgring which in a very general sense would include raising ride height and softening springs, shocks, and stabilizers as this track is not smooth at all. Make one change at a time and see if its faster or slower. You will also need to change gearing to suit this track - I'd start with setting gearing to maximize top speed on the long straight and then, if you are so inclined, play with all the other gears to best suit the remainder of the track.

Yeah, I gave Duck's setup a try. But the thing is, he's got a bunch of TCS on it. Would you happen to know how I might be able to minimize wheelspin without having to resort to TCS?

Why do you not want to use TCS?

Rear camber and toe can have an effect, more rear downforce (more helpful at higher speeds) and LSD settings. Although, any of these changes may compromise some other aspect of handling. The only real answer, though, is better throttle control.

You should give Scaff's suspension tuning guide a read through. It covers the various aspects of the GT4 suspension and how they relate to a car's performance. Here. Well worth the read.
