sorry buddy, but there are also different sport tyres/road tyres...you gotta be more specific about the regulations!

Who's going to check them? You'll need to be able to check PAL, NTSC-UC and NTSC-J replays.

Define "off-track". 1 wheel off? 2? 3? All four? Does any part of the tyre have to be off or does the whole of it have to be off? Is "off" the grass, gravel or just beyond the white lines that mark the edge of a track? Is a rumble strip/pavement (sidewalk) on or off?

2.The whole tyre has to be off

If you use "arcrcede"/time trial, you start before the line, so its not a standing start.

And if we're using "arcrcede" cars, why do we have to own it? Are allowed to quick tune it? -10% weight & +20% power, or do we keep it stock?

The point is there will be no drivers to start with.

Any racing series created by a new member that is obviously sub-par, no one will even consider. There will always be a few kids/new members who will join everything, but those are the same ones who aren't going to fuss about the rules.

The point is there are many of these threads polluting the OLR forums... and they rightfully die off very soon with hardly a post.

Granted there is no posted age, but the lack of foresight leads me to believe he is at that maturity level. If I'm wrong, not my problem.

I dunno. I'd quite like to have a blast in this. minichris just needs to find the right level - stricter rules with replay checking (tough to implement - you've seen the palaver in the 9BC competitions) or run-for-fun (tough to ensure there's no cheating).

Personally I'd quite like to steer this user down the path rather than just blanking him and his ideas because he might be a kid. The idea's sound, it just needs a little work to get it off the ground. Kids have their uses too - Sage has been a moderator here since he was semen.

Yeah I understand. It's hard for me even in the series that I run, to come up with a verification system that satisfies everybody. So far, it has worked well.. but that's due to the nature of the racing, we are only going in a straight line.

Perhaps, but in my experience it has usually been the younger members who don't realize the work involved.

I'm glad to see you have an actual interest in the spot race... I had assumed your numerous questions to him were only to show him that he needs to put more thought into running a racing series.
