...The car only has 1,900 miles on it though. Does it really take that little miles to need a refresher?...

Much less than that. I've seen it reappear on some cars after 600 miles.

bmw v12 lmr is great but u can tell what ill b drivin :D

Yep, I bet I can guess... Just for grins I was playing with the Bentley on Sarthe last night and was able to stuff it through the chicaned version of the track at a 3'11.something  What a rush!!! Pretty quick for the ole phattboy though.

In order for me to do that with the Bentley though I needed to set my ASM/TCS to 1/1/3. If I don't seems like I can't control the bugger on the second jog of the back straight... Have you got a good setup for the Bentley?

I feel like an idiot. I was playing around with the BMW LMR and went into the tune shop to check something and it was staring me in the face:

RIGIDITY REFRESHER

The car only has 1,900 miles on it though. Does it really take that little miles to need a refresher?

Needless to say that the car was much better after that. Easier to keep on the road but still a bit unforgiving if you put a foot off. It was still correctable when I lost the car a bit on the rumble strips or a patch of grass or sand. I did a few laps at Sarthe and was satisfied again with the car.

I'll try playing with the settings again this weekend and hopefully my changes will be better utilized this time.

Can't believe you finished the game already phatboy. I'm only at 25%.

No reason to feel like an idiot :dunce: Like none of us have ever forgotten anything. 👍

As for being done... yah... I need a life sometimes.

When you get done playing around with your settings... post back.

Seems like on my black cars it reappears after every series I run with 'em

yes, tyre wise if ur enterin the world champoinship have soft tyres on ur front and mediums on ur rear. u will have to make 1 pit stop but u shud win em or at least b up there. setup at le mans i just drop my downforce to bout halfway cause u need th grip round corners like indinapolis and th porsche curves

Since I drive an Audi, I decided to go the audi route :-)

First a word on gearbox setting up.... this works for pretty much anything.

1. I set the box to lowest final drive i can, usually 5 or 5.5
2. then put it to 1 on the setter thing, this makes the gearbox look VERY short!
3. then I bring up the final drive til i get the top speed i want, ie the top of the final line in the right place for the cars power
4. then I wind the 1st and second gears higher, use your judgement, but I normally go as high as I can in 1st, and just a little less in 2nd
5. and then level off the rest, so the bottom of the lines is level...

This gives minimal wheelspin in the first two, and should have you on the powerband in the others.

The settings I worked out for my R8's susspension:-

Springs - F 13.5 / R 11.0
Ride Height - F 67 / R 67
Damper Bounce F 4 / R 6
Damper Rebound F 5 / R 5
Camber - F 3.0 / R 1.8
Toe - F -4 / R 0
Stab. F 2 / R 4

I had the same problem the other lad was complaining of, it was wondering about on the straight at Le Mans ( Sarthe I and II ) The excessive Toe out seems to work wonders. Another user told me to do the body refresher thing... and as my car had 4500 kms on it, it did the trick, the wondering about stopped. The Toe angle was to compensate for that... it is back to 1 / -1 now

Brakes are 5 and 2 front and rear respecively.

LSD 8 init / 42 acc / 14 dec

Downforce is as low as possible.

Any feedback welcome :-)

I acquired the V12 early on in the game thinking it was the killer GroupC considering it's tag . i am also trying for a 100% win ratio from my initial save as this was completely possible in 3A-spec . Things were quite smooth with this car in the first two races of the GTworld championship until i hit HongKong , there is no way the BMW can take this race , which is a pity because it does most everything else to a good standard . The problem is braking.

I tried attacking the poblem with this setup .
Hard / SuperHard tyre
22 / 21 brake contoller (yep)
09 / 16 over/under steer asm
if you also put the bound like 8 / 3
and rebound sticky ( and slower ) at 4 / 4
springs tough at 16+
height even and low

the car will get in behind the minolta , 92 and sauber , whatever they throw at you in this particular race , after you take pole in qulifying, but ive still only managed second place after like eighteen attempts using A-Spec . this sort of setting seems to suit the way i push and brke early (dribble power brake ) but always gets mushed by the b-spec which can't cope with anything freaky.

I gave up trying to clean out this championship using the bee-em & cracked it using the minolta though HongKong was still a doozy.

This LMR setup worked out pretty nicely:

SR: 11.8 / 9.5
RH: 75 / 78
SB: 5 / 3
SR: 6 / 4
Camber: 2.3 / 0.8
Toe: -1 / 1
Stab: 4 / 3
Brake Balance: 3 / 4
DF: 63 / 88
Ballast/Balance: 0 / 0
LSD: 10 / 27 / 11
ASM: 0 / 0
TCS: 4
Autoset: 1
Final Drive: 3.45 Midfield (3.02 Sarthe II)

I didn't think this car could handle this well. It turns in under braking with little understeer, and comes around nicely under power without getting crossed up. Its very stable and forgiving. I'd say its as fast as a stock Audi R8 now.

This is a very pleasant surprise.
