I hope everyone is enjoying GT5. BMWC would like to kick off our first event this Friday in a 4-door battle for European supremacy. This race will be a mini points race over the course of three tracks. We will be testing the waters with the new online system and trying to even the field with restrictions. I have made each race approximately 15 - 20 minutes to give us an hour total of race time. Other time will be alloted for qualifying and intermissions. All cars for this event are available in the Dealerships. You will proabably use approximately $300k total to prep the car. Please read all event settings before tuning the car.

Due to private rooms, those who would like to participate will need to register. If you do not register you may not have spot. We need an accurate head count. Lounges will be assorted to accomodate the most people evenly. If connection issues arise, we may start a new lounge or swap you to another.

Registration for this event can be done on the BMWC forum, you will not have to register to the forum to post. Registration. Please be aware this event will strictly be held to past standards of clean racing and good sportsmanship conduct. You be the judge if you think you are ready to race at these standards.

Tracks/Qualifying time limit/Laps
Rome Circuit / 5min / 15 Laps
Cote d'Azur / 5min / 10 Laps
Nurburgring Nordschleife Night / None*** / 2 Laps
There will be 5-10 minute intermissions between each race depending on how the group feels.

***Nurburgring, due to the length of this course and night settings, there will be no qualifying, we will use the finishing results based on the previous race. There will be mandatory 10 minute break, you can use this time to warm-up. Please note NO DRIVING LINE will be allowed in this race, it will deceive the purpose of Night Driving. With that said, the AMG Special events break the course down in to sectors, I highly recommend learning the track here. Treat the night driving as real life, do not go kamikaze through the whole course.

Is this the right section for events?

After some discussion, some revisions have been made.

-Lounge opens at 7:45pm EST
-Active steering, ASM, and TCS have been changed to optional
-Added description to definition of track; "If there are no markings, between the barriers and/or rumble strips."

Add me if you are interested, I will not have time to check post again for any registrants. Looking at 8-10 people so far, possibly more.
