Bob challenge

My bob is lvl/class 24. I race him on indy dream car championship and his best lap is 48:083

Alot of fanboys think bob-spec is totally awsome and not flawed in any way.

I raced in the same car, same tyres and settings on indy and was 6 seconds a lap quicker than Bob on his fastest lap.

To find out why my bob sucks, please show proof of 42:000 on indy with hard tyres your bob has done.

"my bob is awsome" simply won't do.

Show me a bob that can actually race me.

Ah yes, you're the guy from the other thread where people whined about their B-Spec drivers. You wouldn't be a good race for G.Pace. It would be too easy. He seems to have gotten faster since my last photo. With some tweaking he'll likely do a high sub-40.

OP what car did you use in that race?? it appears that "G.PACE" was in the Formula GT... what lap time would you do in that car at indy with racing-hards??

Yup.
My Bob managed to lap the competition in every single race in the FGT-Championship.
Also my new Bob with lvl24 is doing the 1000km of Suzuka right now. He's in the 75th lap with the FGT and is 16 laps ahead of 2nd place. I didn't give him any command at all so far...
Oh and he's driving on hard racing tyres aswell...

Bob will break to not trash the tires on the bends of the ovals, hence bob in the endurance race at indy will do more fewer pit stops, then me that can beat his time 4 or 5 seconds because my tires will be thrashed long before his are.

Still my way of driving the track is overall faster since i keep the accelerator floored and do not even shift out of 6th when i get up to speed. Overall i am about 15 20 minutes faster than bob for the entire race.

I was using the nissan R92CP...bob wasn't however, he was watching a dvd and shouting at the kids in the back to behave.

I am on the lookout for the FGT, when I get it I can bet whatever bob does I will be faster...just a hunch

Of course you will be faster.
Why? Because unlike Bob we don't give a rat's ass about tyres etc.
We drive as reckless as possible, Bob doesn't...
Also he isn't meant to be as fast as you, why is that so hard to understand?

You have no argument. A target time was given, without car specification (nowhere in your original post, or in the other thread). I used a car that someone at your levels should already have in their garage, and came under that time. Now, conveniently, you claim to have used an R92CP. If your argument is that you can better a B-Spec driver's time, well... you had better be able to.

I want racing, not walk overs. I just put my best driver round indy and he punched in a 48.083 on racing hard tyres at full "increase pace or it's fernando is faster than you" time.

This bob spec is chosen for his high cornering abilty (back when he was a sperm) and low braking abilty. At 24 class he really knows how to brake and cornering is way off his "to do" list.

I ran the same track (indy) with identical setup (tyres, gearing, downforce and brake bias) and I murdered him by over 6 secs a lap, more to the point I held that gap on nearly every lap.

Bob-spec is broken, I know it can be fun and occasionally bob will deliver but it is properly broken, if any racing driver amateur or otherwise braked from 220mph down to 140mph on indy with cars directly behind he would be black flagged for brake testing.

Haha sure I left out a bit of crucial info on car make. There is nothing convenient about it, you have a "good" bob and i have a "sh.." bob...can we swap?

Also, why should i "have" to be able to better a B-spec drivers time? I mean if he was a simulation of a real racing driver, should we not be jockeying for fastest lap bragging rights?

Anyway, I can smell where this is going, seems it's about 50/50 as to whether you get a good or bad bob. Going to have a play and see if I can find one that doesn't irritate me.

I am pretty sure PD can make the AI go super fast. Like impossibly fast with perfect lap times everytime.

Would that make you happy? (And then we will get complains about AI being too fast, game too hard)

If you want to race for braggin rights, race with a HUMAN. Join GT acedemy and whatnot. WHen leaderboards come out, we expect to see you at the top eh?

Surely it comes down to managing Bob.? I've only just started b-spec really so im sure you guys have vastly more experience, but isn't the aim to train the guy?

Unless anyone from PD leaks the algorithms or the logic as to how he runs we'll never know, but it makes sense to me to keep him on his limit throughout the race, monitoring strengths of course. If i get him out front and just leave him, yea he stays ahead of the pack, but he chills right out (blue end) and his times drop around 3-4s per lap.

I'd hope the more effort you put in in the earlier stages would develop a better Bob for the later races where it's not entirely practical to sit and button tap for hours..pretty lame if not

My Bob's best lap on Indy in the Dream Car Championship is around 41-42 seconds so bring it on
