Midway through the formula gran turismo championship, first two races were fine, easy wins (despite a minor hiccup on indy), monaco he was doing fine, span out 4 times but managed to hold 3rd, untill 4 laps to go where he decides to crash and drop me into 5th. (note increase your pace at your peril on this track)

On the 4th race ('ring) 2nd lap in he spins out, which was fine, untill he decides to let every other car past (even the others which crashed) and put me 30+secs behind 1st. Im still doing it, long race ahead...long championship ahead....

Annoying though, im probably not going to win the championship now :grumpy:

Thats why I pick races that are easy. I just won the INDY 500 with my guy using the X1, and he beat the others by about 30-40 laps.

Don't keep telling him to pace up. Tell him to pace down where he's having issues.

That's completely different, in the FGT championship you have to use the Formula GT.

Thats what I mean. If you have a FGT, take advantage of it and use it against worse cars for an easy win. Unless you want a challenge, that is.

The ai uses the fgt too. Have you ever done the formula gt championship?

This is why B-Spec frustrates the hell out of me. Not just those major incidents like you have, but stupid little mistakes that could've been avoided easily that led into huge mistakes. I've got almost all races done up to the race after the Indy 500. I'm just missing two race series, NASCAR and FGT.

NASCAR is pissing me off the most. Indy, no prob. Usually get about a half-lap lead at the end. Then Grand Valley. Wouldn't be a problem if my driver didn't constantly let other drivers ahead of him. Not to mention, other drivers are spinning there wheels and my driver slows down, letting him recover and other drivers by as well. He managed to get second there, which is excellent. High Speed Ring, hardly a problem. Took him a while to get ahead, but got a big lead afterwards. The came the mother of all mistakes. Laguna Seca. At the 2nd turn of lap 5, my driver missed the apex wide and just decided to let the car coast of road and spin out. Ever since then, I haven't even touched the NASCAR B-Spec event. The prize car I already got (and from the FGT series, too), so I'm not too worried.

I expect stupid mistakes at low classes. But come on. He's class 30 now. Time to start acting like one.

I had no problem in either series when I raced. The endurance series is easier than those two series.

It's so funny watching them all spin out. Just tell your BOB to slow down and he should stay in front while the others spin out.

Yes I know. But I am trying to say, don't do the FGT championship!! Do a different race that puts your driver against worse cars, so you never have to worry about getting in 2nd or worse.
 
I remember having a couple of spin-outs, but not to the point hat I lost a race. Perhaps look at setting the car up instead of running on default settings? Have you oil changed too?

It did require a tiny bit of additional tuning but nothing too extravagant. I did find Cote at 310kph rather than the suggested 320 (199mph) to be more beneficial in B-Spec though.

Gold series in A & B :)
 
i found it easier to use certain points on the track to increase coz if you do it all the time they make mistakes

That's not the point of this thread. He's not doing the FGT Championship because he's bored and stupid. He's doing it because he has to.
 
Will Bob be better at these events when he's level 40?

Probably some chassis tweaks might help. I put some neg camber on the back for better traction in corners - helped me win in A spec too, despite skipping the last (heavy rain) race.
 
As for steelertown, he's either American or Ironic.
 
If you wait to bob is over level 30 he'll walk it.
