Body shutter

In my car when I'm going 45+ mph and I lightly tap on the brakes the body of the car starts to shudder and sway a little. Is this caused by old pads? Suspension problems? Or should I go have a pro look at it? Keep in mind the car is 18 years old.

Like the car is making huge slow vibrations when you brake? Could be warped rotors, but I couldn't tell you unless I actually experienced it firsthand.

The rotors may be warped, but more likely they have small patches of surface pits caused by rust. If you feel real pulsing in the brake pedal, it is probably warped rotors, but if it's just a little shudder, it's probably pits.

Either way, get a new set of rotors next time you replace the brake pads. They're not that expensive.
