Bodywork falling off...

Now, before I knew this trophy existed I had already been at it testing the damage system, driving my Trans Cammer Mustang up and down the Top Gear runway smashing into each end to try and get the bumper to fall off, didn't happen (was about level 25 at the time). Would anyone be able to shed any light on the situation? Do parts start falling off at higher-level damage or am I just giving up too quickly?
 
Me007gold is correct.

Use a premium WRC car and you will be able to do it. The damage modelling is far more detailed on the premium rally cars than on any of the other cars in the game (boot lid, doors, and bonnet flying open/off etc.).
 
I used the focus wrc car on trial mountain and kept rolling the car over on the bank before the start finish straight, (then turn round and flip going the other way) it took a good 20 min to get the door to fall off (much longer than i thought it would !!! )
 
Try messing with the damage settings?

IDK, I haven't tried this yet. Will try tomorrow, I'll let you know how it goes.
 
I just used the Focus WRC on Indy Oval. It took 7 minutes of crashing into the barriers for me to get some of the parts to hang off. In the end I managed to get one of the doors to fall off after taking a hit from an AI car.
 
Ripped both doors off and had the trunk, hood, and both bumpers loose during a photo shoot.

Must be nice. I used the exact same car on the Daytona oval and spent several sessions of at least 30 minutes apiece banging into the walls and head-first into oncoming cars and never did more than get the hood to flop about.

I went to Eiger Nordwand, went in reverse to the tunnel and blocked it. As soon as the AI made their way to that point and T-boned me I got it immediately, after all the hundreds of T-bones at Daytona failed to do crap.

My bumper came off my F40 before, never happened again. I was racing as well, doing laps around the ring'.

I slammed my Focus WRC into the space between the armco and one of the braking markers at Monza... which was a little too small for the car.

Must've been something glitchy there cause it started disintegrating before my eyes, like in the video of the C4 WRC at Nordschleife pit exit in this thread :odd:
