I'm about done with A-spec. The remaining races are just too hard for my 65 year old reflexes. I had one race series left on expert, Grand Turisimo All Stars. I couldn't even come close with the Gillet Vertigo but I bought a Formula GT and came in third on my first attempt. (I was hopeless at Nurburgring).

I was given credit for finishing the Expert Events and awarded a gift certificate which got me an Audi A4 Touring Car '04.

Don't I have to get gold in all events to complete a level?

Nope - just get at least a bronze.

Yea just bronze. I think they should change this so you have to get all golds but I guess it's to late for that.

man, its just practice and repetition. Im sure you can win it regardless of age.
I had a tough time with all stars too.
Just restart the race until the HIGH hp AI cars (or the ones giving you the most trouble) randomly dont get picked in the race. makes it much easier.

Im sure youll be able to gold it in a few more tries. 3rd isnt too far from 1st.

Ofcourse you can opt not to race nurburgring if you gold the others. youll win the championship based on points :)

That's a thought! I finished 3-1-10-2-1. I think I could win all but Nurburgring with some more practice with this car. On many tracks I can anticipate the turns so it's not so dependent on reflexes, Nurburgring is just so narrow and has so many different but similar looking turns!

Don't forget that if you par with the AI you still win the trophy and earn your credit. The first time I won it was way back now, I remember using a Veyron which I won from other events. I tried fully modded Ford GT/S7 & failed. I never get any gold on all 5 tracks, but I kept getting podium positions in each of them & finally got a par with 2 of the AI cars (yes, 2! How lucky I was).

WheelerDealer,i was like you,i hated Nurburgring at first, now i love it, the best track on the game. There is no easy way to learn how to drive on Nurburgring, but i can give you some tips that have really helped me! 1.Drive with the driving line on. 2.Keep your speed down, get to know the track. 3.Aim to finish a lap without comming off the track, you need to do this for week or two. 4.You should now be ready to race without the driving line, take your time, get to know every bend, points on the track where you should start to brake. 5.Watch out for split times and lap times. Hope this helps you,i was driving the FGT lap time 8.12mins,but with lots+lots of pratice my best lap time is now 5.32mins

One thing that helped my 58 yr.old reflexes was to look a couple corners ahead to see the line.Your sub conscious seems to help steer better when you're not looking at the corner right in front of you....Good luck!

That works for me too. As an ex bike rider i had to do that anyway in RL as changing direction at 150+ mph takes alot of effort and concentration.
