First I would like to say that I hate this car as much as the tuned 370Z. Requires WAY too much steering angle to turn through the corners, you even so much as breathe on a rumble strip and the car snaps sideways, and it acts like it has an open differential out of the tight corners. :yuck:

With that said, I'm currently sitting at a 2:03.243 which is #1 in the US by over 6 tenths of a second. But globally I am about 8 tenths slower than the lead time in the world so I expect my time to drop like a rock once more people start running it.

I managed to complete three laps, quite different to GT5 physics it seems. I wonder if I am number 1 still, can't see on online rankings as I think they took down the old board but haven't updated website with updated ID for current one. I guess people will be going under 2 minute barrier, hard to say how far off limit I was as it was generally scruffy lap to test physics.

It did for me.

And under 2 minutes? I don't see that happening.
I hope no one does so my raw pace is not way off the mark but aliens will be out in force soon, should suit the likes of IMMORTALPILOT this kind of TT. Difficult to tell as the way the car can break traction on power. You can really feel the difference in physics with this car, first time I tried with this car and was a pleasant surprise although still work to do to getting it more realistic but good step in right direction.

Edit: Two hours later only see IMMORTALPILOT go 0.358 faster than my lap so I think I had reasonable pace although I expect to him to do a much faster lap soon but I know I can improve a lot. However will let the aliens do the hard work on discovering best technique with this car.

The feeling is different, but I don't like that you can mash the throttle out of turns without spinning. I understand that we are finally on racing tires, but I thought that they would need a little more finesse. I'm happy to get a 2:03.850 without ABS on a DS3 though.

Not sure what car you are driving, mine requires tons of finesse. It spins a bit and rockets out of the corner if you are pointing it straight, but if you're turning, it steps out a bit and when you try to counter steer it out you end up flying off the track. :scared:

That's so odd! I can't save cars in this game with a wheel, but with a DS3, tapping the stick works well for countersteering. That's probably the key difference. Nice lap time by the way!

Easier to keep the car going in the right direction with a DS3 because that flick is all it takes for you to counter steer. Wheel users have to make a much larger movement.

this latest event is horrible way too much understeer handles like a boat

I kept saying "this thing handles like a truck" when I was driving it, but you're not too far off. :dopey:

A race car should not need that amount of steering angle to turn through a corner.

Yep, he's really fast  .

same here with the trophy, the car does handle really odd, sometimes it feels like its bottomed out and wont turn at all, like when you run onto a kerb and cant get off it

i thought the actual track looked brighter and different as well

I just opened up the demo but I can't find the bonus event; what am I doing wrong?

From the main menu go all the way to the right to Special Events, and go to the one w/ the bow that says 15th Anniversary. Third one is the new one :)

under the gt academy time trial box, should be another box marked bonus event or somthing like that, click on that, and then this new time trial is the third box on the right? unless they've removed it?

i did hit a kerb and nearly got bounced into outer space, maybe they're fixing a glitch

also, i noticed that will have until the 31st to improve times in the other two bonus time trials

I was expecting him to be much faster already, happy to still be in top three at moment with my initial few laps and only just over 6 tenths off. Might be tempted to run a few more laps and see if I can get ahead of him before I send my wheel off finally to get it replaced for one that works properly hopefully.

Have to re-trophy the online qualifier, as well as all the previous practices. Then you get access.

I logged into mine and noticed there was no more gold trophy under the qualifier, so I redid it real quick, and unlocked the "15th Anniversary" event again. The GT3 GT-R's in there.

But there is nothing in the special events column except the GT Academy 2013 box.
Same for me.
There is no box under the GT Academy 2013 one.
This. Can anyone help?

Have you got a trophy in all the events? If you have and it still not showing up then see if you have Gold trophies for all the other previous events.

I only got gold for the full lap time trial. I didn't bother to do the others. Do you have to get gold trophies to access the event?
