Yes softs are a little bit overpowered but if you are close to the deadline ... well you need that money to cover your expenses. :dunce:

I personally am avoiding for example engine or chassis changes on most of my cars because they are irreversible. I like to put on the cars things that I can easily remove if I wish to try something like more of a challenge. So I see your point turbogeit, don't you worry. :)

I do exactly the same. Those seasonal eventes don't interest me, so I want to win them easily and cheaply. I reserve tuning and that stuff for my hotlaps on my own tracks.

But I find, PD made it a little bit too easy with their soft race tires.

You naturally "grew" into a "it's all about the journey" attitude. Which IMO makes the whole experience much richer 👍 The faster/easier way only means the fun ends sooner.

No Aids + Diff and RM suspension are the best mods you can have for that. As opposed to "god mode" and/or racing soft and/or turbo stage3.

Thing is Im not used to a game being so involved- usually its just a game, mad dash for the line etc (which is also fun-try Blur!) But gt5 allows you to make small but real changes to a vurtual car...I like that realism, especially as I probably wont ever drive a car ( would love to work as a mechanic tho)
 
With sports medium tires this becomes a completely different car. At first it was J Clarkson dream ride- huge power slides all over the place. Switched tires, fitted the race suspension, LSD, air filter, headers, then made these setting changes:

LSD 20 / 60 / 5

Suspension:
-20/-15
6.4/5.3
4/3
4/3
6/6

Wheel
1.6/0.8
-.20/0.30

Brakes 7/4

The good: paint chips
The bad: pit entry wall

Fun race :)

With sports medium tires this becomes a completely different car. At first it was J Clarkson dream ride- huge power slides all over the place. Switched tires, fitted the race suspension, LSD, air filter, headers, then made these setting changes:

LSD 20 / 60 / 5

Suspension:

Wheel
1.6/0.8
-.20/0.30

Brakes 7/4
