Borrow my GT40 '69 for the World Classic Car Series...

Not much fun, I know, this car is way over powered for the competition. Just thought some people might not have a classic older car and just want to complete it without buying something they may never drive again. Power limiter is set to limit the car to 549pp. I've got the car set on "share with friends" if anyone wants to use it. I will leave it up for a week or so...enjoy.

Wtf? My gt40 wont qualify for this race, i ran it with a stock gt350, then again with my gold chrome ginetta g4.

In the meantime there's the Cosmo Sport in the OCD for a cool 60k credits. You'll have earned it back with one race and it's a sweet sounding, slide happy fun car for these events.

Done them with an Alfa Guilia, mildly tuned to c.170bhp and running hard sport tyres. Makes the races enjoyable, sliding round most corners and taking care not to lock up (all aids off). Its actually one of the most fun cars i've got, and you might as well make the seasonals enjoyable!
 
The '69 GT40 will not work in the Classic Seasonals! But a Gt3000 will:)

OP said he had to use the power limiter. Just go to the tuning menu and lower the PP so it can qualify.

I had to do the same thing with my '69 Camaro. You have to go into your garage, find the car, tune it down, then go back and enter the race. It won't be in your standard/premium folder until you bring the PP down..... bring the PP down. *snickers*
 
Why use the GT40? Do you want to actually enjoy racing or race it in 5 minutes and then complain that its not challenging?

Why not use it? One of the coolest looking cars in the game imo. Over the next few days I plan on driving all my classic cars in the races, including the GT40.

Why? Because it was the only car I had that qualified...and you didn't hear me complaining. I stated it wasn't the car if you wanted it to be a close race. Only made the offer for folks who didn't want to buy an older car they would never use again.

So if you reduce the hp, which I did prior to my first post in this topic and tried again after, then it still will not accept it, what gives? Same goes with the '69 Camaro RM, '66 427 Cobra. Not denying the fact that you can, just saying.
 
there are dozens of other cars that in stock form will win these races, and are more fun. you win a gt40 later on anyways (i have 2, thanks ticket)

pound for pound... this HAS to be one the best handling cars in the game. Yes it is an obvious overkill for this series... but if you do get a chance to grab one of these from a ticket (mine was from level 17), win it from a race or just pick it from the UCD for $19 mil :dunce:... you will without a doubt, LOVE IT!

Absolutely PERFECT steering response, zero twitchiness under braking and very linear torque curve... cannot get any better, especially with the stock racing hards. Everyone should have one of these in their garage!!
