heres somthing to think about when comparing laptimes with real life:

G-FORCES

when you have 2.5 G's slamming you into the side of your GT car, you sure as hell arent going to keep you foot plastered to the floor through Wippermann like you can in GT4.......also, you dont phisically feel the bumps and jolts in the game as you do in reality....then there is also fear......im sure you wouldnt want you life to end trying to prove you can take the Ring as fast as you did in GT4........

its the same thing in flight simulators, sure, you can pull all the moves the blue angels do without breaking a sweat, but in reality, you would be nearly blacking (or redding in some cases) out from +10G's and -4G's........

its just different, and some people seem not to realise that

That is entirely true:tup: 👍 i would have taken everything easier of course if the game was taken to reality.

Back to the "dodgy and rushed" modification by SCEA on the 240sx/Silvia deal.. Has anyone noticed that in the toyota dealer there is an Altezza race? The only cars that qualify for that race (besides the Altezza race car) are ONLY available through Lexus, so anyone playing the game would have to pick up on the fact that the IS200/300 are the same as the JDM Altezza. Not really a big deal, I know, but why isnt the race just called the IS series and placed in the Lexus area..

it tells you what cars are eligible in the pre-race screen, where it won't let you get any farther, unless in proper vehicle

Not really. Most of the time it will list maybe five or six "eligible" cars, and then finish up with an "etc", which leaves you guessing as to what other cars in your garage might fit into the same mystical category as the five or six that they listed.

Very true for many races. I dont understand the reasoning for that either, they spend millions of dollars and man-hours making this game, you would think they could find the time to produce a complete list of cars that are eligible.

Thats not the case for the Altezza cup tho. I know about the list, but I think if they are going to place the race in the "Toyota" area, you should be using cars that are labelled "Toyota" regardless of whether they are actually produced or owned by Toyota.
