bought a Xbox..and

Hi, recently i saw a friend of my playing Doom3 on the Xbox, well ive always played quake and so i was right away hooked on Doom3, now i just ordered a Xbox with Doom3 the collectors edition... ive always gamed on the Ps2 like Final Fantasy Nfs, Metal gear Solid, Ratchet Clank, Gta series and go on, and i still do but the xbox is something new for me... do you guys now any sites that explains the capabilities and functions of the Xbox? (like playing audio dvd and the Hd whats possible with it?) i also heard if you rent a game you can copy it on the hd and play it without the dvd.. is this true? im @work now and nothing todo so im like browsing on info.. but i cant find any desent sites..maybe its the firewall here.. anyway the next game ill buy on xbox is maybe Forza or Gta Sa, (i have Gt4 and Enthusia so i dunno about forza ;) with doom3 i was stunned by the whole thing i just couldnt resist to buy a xbox for it :P

Xbox specs are pretty easy to access, I would just search for Xbox Specs on google or something.

I quit playing games on the pc years ago, Im not gonna spend more and more money to upgrade my pc just so a game can work on it. on a console, the game will always work to its full potential and youll never have to turn features off just to play it at an enjoyable speed.

I did get a chance to play doom 3 on a pc that was only 3 or 4 months old. choppy even with all the graphics and sound toned down. thank god its out on xbox now. unless you spent a couple grand on your computer good luck running that at its full potential.

and yes, I know, when the pc is capable it will always be better than a console...
 
I have Doom 3 & I love it, though I am not playing it at the moment as Forza, GT4 & Halo 2 are taking up all my time!:) Get Forza, it is the most fun sim/arcadey game you can get.
 
hmm too crappy i think not, im using a 3,2ghz 1gig ddr2 p4 with 2x 22inch iiyama but its always in use couse its a money maker for the buisness.. it used to be a big game rig..now its in the studio..
back in the days i spend 1000s of dollars to improve my pc so i could run quake1 smooth later i build one for quake3.. thats not gonna happen with doom3 i was planning to do it but i come to a point that i find it ridicilous to build it for a game... but quake1 had me hooked for 4 years and i really had so much fun online!
anyway Forza indeed is very good, maybe picking this one up fast, but just bought the console and stuff so ill take it easy a moment :)
from what ive seen in doom3.. i know what im doing the next days.. 👍 DOOM!

After beating doom 3 like 6 months ago on pc i never really went back. I played dm for awhile but got boring. Hopefully quake 4 will be better because quake 2 was one of my favorite fps, especially online.

Games that are taking up my time... Unreal Championship 2, Forza, Otogi 2, GT4, Tekkan 5, Killzone, Half Life 2 Deathmatch, and Joint Operations.
