This says it all, back in December.

Not a word to Martin Whitmarsh. Whatever we may think about McLaren's poor campaign last year, I liked him.

And I don't know what's worse, if it's losing a championship with a average car and two good but not great drivers (in 2014, IMO Button is past it, and Perez is still growing as a driver), or if it is losing a championship with the best car and two top drivers, because Team Principal's (Ron dennis, 2007) favoritism wrecked the entire team to pieces. That was 2007, with Ron Dennis call

Anyway, time to update their site I guess.

Ross Brawn for Chief Executive Officer?

Wouldn't it be two many "bosses" in the same team? I think Brawn got away from Mercedes because of that, don't think he'd like the same at McLaren, especially if he was to report to Dennis. I think I'd prefer Lauda LOL

It would be a lot of management, but the role exists for someone to fill... He was rumoured to join McLaren, but that died out a few weeks back. Rumours begin somewhere, so if it wasn't about this role then I would bet he was at leats interviewed / interested in Eric's new role instead.
