Boxers under boardshorts?

Do you wear boxers (or other garment) under your boardshorts?

If you're going for a swim, do you wear boxers under your boardshorts? Note: boardshorts that I'm reffering to most people would just call shorts. They're similar to regular swimsuit trunks but don't have the built-in netting that more traditional swimming suits have.

Personally I do, but I've heard otherwise. From an impromptu poll on the lake a couple weeks ago, it was pretty split even.

I'd rather hide my crotch better thanks very much!
 
I'm a boxers under boardies guy and never have problems with it. 👍 There's two key secrets to being able to do it well:

1. Make sure boxers are SHORTER than boardies, it's pretty wrong seeing boxer short slipping out from the boardie legs.

2. Wear satin boxer shorts, as they dry quickly. :cool:
 
Usually I do, despite my girlfriend hating on it. My swim trunks are always just a bit too big and though they don't fall down, I like to know that I'm covered if they do.

I might start wearing a speedo underneath instead, though. It would dry much faster.
 
Speedo under boardshorts are the best.

I don't know about you guys, but I'm not secure enough in my manhood to survive exposing them to the world.

Which is why I never got serious in gymnastics after the first two years... transitioning to skintight pants was a hurdle to high to vault... :lol:
 
I can't swim, so I rarely ever where swimshorts. When I do though I wear boxer shorts under them because it feels really weird without them. Plus it's a bit uncomfortable.

Exactly. Speedo's under in cold weather. Nothing in hot weather. I don't know about other countries, but in Australia, nothing is lamer than seeing a guy with Boxer shorts coming out the top of his Boardies, except of course, coming out the bottom.
 
I throw on whatever underwear is dirty, that way I swim plus do some laundry at the same time. Multitasking ftw!
 
If going for a swim then don't bother with anything but the shorts. And even if it's cold, a real man merely screams like a girl as the cold, cold water just reaches testical height :D

But I do wear boxes under boardies when I wear them whilst not at the beach.
 
Boxers under boardshorts is just wrong particularly when the boxers are baggier than the board shorts they are under. Wear speedos and if you are too 'cool' to wear speedos then wear your briefs or trunks. Actually any underwear that is bigger/baggier than the pants they are underneath is wrong. Guys that have their silky boxers ballooning out the top of their jeans look plain ridiculous.

Boxers under footy shorts is also wrong - ok so Jack was only 6 years old at the time but no mum wants wants to be the owner of the kid running round the footy field with his underwear hanging out the bottom of his shorts :)
 
Well on the odd occasions when I'm not completely naked I wear my swimming shorts without any underwear. I find it gets too rucked up around the crotch.

Footy shorts? Are we talking aussie or soccer? Casue any mum making her kid were 60's style short-shorts on the footy pitch should be the one ashamed!

I always thought "Driving the bandwagon" was a weird country. We used too like 5 years ago, but it's like the trend these days in Aus is to almost grow up more and pass the "childish" phase of the lowrider-visible underwear look.

Jeans...mate you have to get the jeans right nowadays other wise you are nothing.
 
I'm English so i don't get the opportunity to wear boardshorts unless i go swimming. I wouldn't buy swimming shorts unless they have the internal netting.

It's not my boxers that i'd worry about hanging down below my shorts anyway :O
 
You guys must have some really short shorts if you see people's boxers below the sleeve.

You'd have to be rocking some serious Rennaissance pantaloons to have them below something like this:

I was wondering about the "boxers baggier than the shorts" comments...

But I never realized that anybody would go free balling under their board shorts.
 
I tend to wear boxers underneath, as my baggy board shorts do little to conceal my manhood when in water. To some that isn't a problem, but when on the beach with a load of strangers, it doesn't seem right.
 
Do "Boardshorts" have crotch liners in them? If so, why the heck would you wear boxers? Boxers suck anyway... it's all about briefs.

And as I don't wear boardshorts, I don't wear boxers with boardshorts.
 
I do the boxers under the board shorts. I personally can't stand the netting. It annoys me to no end. But, I'm always sure that my boxers are below the waist band of the boardshorts. And I don't have any long enough to sneak out the bottom.
